What frets are the two high chords played on? I am a beginner and I watched a winehouse video where it seemed maybe she played a little higher. I don't know the names of the chords though.

Forget the theory and diatonic progression accuracy, you think Amy really gave it a second thought between smoking' crack n drinking vodka? Or it just sounded good? Seen her band a few times live, they do it different all the time, depending on if she plays or not, (see live a Jool) whos backing her etc. Sounds good to me man. Ignore the theory buffs.

Well man ..theoretically the A7alt would fit... but in blues and classic rock songs the Am7 would be a perfect choice. Amy's guitar player plays it live in his acoustic guitar that way. Lead Sheets could say something but as BB KING sings: "Actions speaks ouder than words" ..let you ear be the judge.. GO find and listen to that live acoustic version with Am7 in youtube and enjoy the journey....
No, the second chord would be A7aug....isn't it? voiced open A G C# F......then the F on top carries to the same voicing on the Dmin 7th.....but Thanks for the Fmaj7.....I had it as a F6th. (Dmin to G9)

Nice. Usually I play A7#5 (5X5665) instead of a simple Am7, it sounds a bit closer to the original I think. Try it.
