I am planning on buying the 3000's in like 2 weeks. Are they a good buy if I just want to them to listen to music, because I'm worried that they won't sound as good as I think. Also, are they over ear or on ear ??
I'm going to go with the 2000's they seem to be more trust worthy and durable compared to the 3000's (skull candy like hinges >>cheap<<) which aren't. But still keeping the quality.
hi. nice vid. Can you tell me, for example, for a guy just want listen music in pc or a mp3 but with great sound, nothing pro, what headphones you would buy? sorry bad english.
Yes, pretty much all headphones you buy work with mp3 or just about any other music file type. I have not come across a pair that doesn't. Yes the larger "DJ" cable do come with it as well as the pouch. You can go to your local video and audio store such as RadioShack and pick up a pair of cables with a 1/8 3.5mm plug.
i got these headphones and the led light shit doesn't work (not that i particularly need the lights, but i just wanted to try them out). do you need to do anything to make them work?
After 1 year of using these headphones my clip on the side completely broke ! The Sound of these headphones are very good and loud but quality wise they are made very cheap but I have to admit they do look strong !! The Stanton Pro Dj 2000s are wayy better but I would go with Sony and Pioneer for headphones
Dude im having a real hard time choosing. The 2000's are built better but the 3000's have a sexier look and little better sound quality. You think i can just like super glue the hinge area together to prevent from openning and breaking??

@MikeFrozt Thanks bro. Bought the 3000's and yeah definitely worth the money! I have to open them a little cause I have a big ass head but so far no troubles! Thanks for the review.
@M1CKYB33 local Radioshack. make sure you get the 6 - 7 foot male to male with plastic connector holds then shave one end down so it can look like the stanton boxed jack end and there you go!
@MikeFrozt Man, u got both...I cant choose between them, I like them both, but 3000's look sexier for me, but I heard they brake a LOT! so many complains on the internet in reviews..
@madedd02 all preference really. The 2000's have the reputation for having a better construction versus the 3000 in which have a slight better crisp sound. I have had them both for a while and I have to say that as long as you run the 3000's hinge closed, you shouldn't have a stress problem on the plastic. go ahead and feel free to get whichever of your choice, these phones won't disappoint !
@TecnoBas Honestly, both headphones have pro Dj level features but since they're affordable, you can start off with either or. the 3000's are a bit more pricey, but I'll say they are both great. check them out at a local retailer and go with what fits your style better, but My vote for you is, get the 2000's first. hope i helped.
Awesome video man! Just bought the 2000s myself and compared them to the pioneer hdj 1000s... I personally prefer the stanton 2000s... sound, quality, durability, and price are just down right excellent! Thanks for the video!!!
@AlexROXTON it's basically an adapter to use the headphone cord with your ipod or any 3.5 mm jack device, what I did was i went to radioshack and bought a male to male 3.5 cord and shaved two sides of one end of the jack to fit snug in the headphones.
yep, but you would have to shave the outside plastic/rubber of the headphone jack side to be boxed, otherwise normal round jacks head won't fit. simple customization but very well worth it versus using that big adapter thing with your ipod.
hey bro ive bin looking for those headphones now i live in cali round hollywood area do u knw if they have sum in stock around there or like a 50 mile radius?
and wud u consider these or the denon dhp 1000 or 700
Hey thank you very much for the Review! Very nice details! I got one question. I saw you were talking about there are some headphones that are fakes. So, how can you figure out which are the fake ones and which are the original ones? Is there any difference on the structure of the headphones or is just the quality?
aesthetically, it is impossible to tell fakes by pictures, best way is to check the sellers feedback for any negative ones and if there are any complaints in quality or anything like that, then stay away. also make sure is a sort of powerseller, this way they are less likely to sell fake goods. fakes look like reals but sound like poop.
Cool, thanks for the answer Mike! I'm from Argentina and I was searching for this headphones, and I just wanted to see a review before buying them. I'll search for a good seller! Thanks once again! ;D
congrats man, I'm glad this review is helping out. when i first came across these headphones i was going crazy on which one to get because they both have such great features, luckily for me my insanity drove me 2 buy both and now i can share my opinion and compare and contrast these to the world.
what about the durability, bass and isolation?and whats your favourite of this two?im not a dj and i dont know much about headphones, but i really want a good heaphone because my previous ones were really crap... is it good compatible to an iPod? how long is the wire?
good bass overall, i like the bass on the 3000's over the 2000's and no bothe headphones come with the jack converter for ipod or other 3.5 jack devices. but like i said i just went to radioshack and got a 3.5 male to male 7 foot cable and shaved one end to fit the headphones and is way better than carrying the "cross" everywhere you go.
The 2000's have bigger ear cups. the 3000's power peak is 16 Hz 22 kHz frequency response without artificial bass boost.
You can use 3000 mW of power which means you can drive them as hard as possible without fuzzing out. Of course, it is not really recommended to use them at high sound pressure levels, because on the one hand, the lack of distortion is misleading, on the other hand, your ears will give out long before the headphones do. hope this helps.
do you know anything about the headphones ath-m50 by audio technica??if you do then would you know how they compare to these headphones??o yeah and is that the deadmau5 remix or original??
the ath-m50 are great set of monitoring/mixing headphones. I have tried them on and mixed a little with them, extremely comfortable and sick design all around. compared to the stantons, I like the bass better on the technicas. overall good choice of headphones if you ask me.
yeah my cousin has the ath-m50..i tried them to, they were amazing...im looking for good headphones besides those because he dosent want me jacking his style....would you recommend these??or another set for under 100??(besides the ath-m50)
pretty sure the dre h/p's are more style than substance. just like skull candy's, they'd sound good, no doubt about it, but compare them to something in the same price range by sennheiser or akg or audio technica and they'll fall
I just watched your stantons 2000 and 3000 headphones review. I am currently looking for appropriate headphones for myself and thinking of buying the stantons 2000, however I am unsure if they fit on my ears which are pretty big (about 7 cm long:)). Could you give me the dimensions of the stantons 2000 ear cup?
Yeah man!!! U trully completed my video!!! 10x!!! Now the stanton headphones have a true review. I have a question also about the 3000's: what matherial is the piece between the earcup and the middle big piece witch stand's on u'r head (I don't know how to call it :P)??? it looks skinny and kind of unsecure i guess... Although, they look preetty cool and I guess the're more expencive. NICE VIDEO MAN!!! Cheers!!!
word, thanks! ok if it's the piece i was pointing out the i said a lot of people complained about cracking it there, that piece is plastic just like the sony v700 headphones. in my opinion these are the enhanced version of the sony's. but let me know. The only piece that's aluminum are the ear cup shells.
Yep, that's the piece... Too bad it's plastic... That's why @ this time the Pioneer's HDJ 2000 have no competition. Neighter on the qualitty and also neighter on the price ;))
I am planning on buying the 3000's in like 2 weeks. Are they a good buy if I just want to them to listen to music, because I'm worried that they won't sound as good as I think. Also, are they over ear or on ear ??
