yeah my 2006 A4 sounds like that and i just bought it and started to question weather something was wrong or not but i think by your vid mine sounds right, its almost as if its like a really quiet 4 cyl diesel or something, i'm thinking of putting a vid up of my engine noise cause im still not 100% and i dont want to leave it and have it progress to something worse, but it shouldnt need the timing belt done cause its at 90,000 kms
I have noticed the same... also a 2.0T A4. The weird sound comes from the pipe on the right side. But if it's normal, i don't care :) Thank you for your information.
All fsi motors make this sound...

That ticking sound is the high pressure fuel pump. Its perfectly normal.

i usually hear this ticking noise when i cold start my 2.0t a4. it goes away after a while.

It's the pulse air system for the induction. Perfectly normal.
