My wife once bought donuts and put them on the counter. Our Weim flipped open the lid and grabbed a donut one at a time for eight donuts. My wife then yelled at me for eating eight donuts. I would have lived my entire life having taken the blame had our Weims nose not smelled like a pastry and had little crumbs on the whiskers.
I've thought about teaching my weim to get beer out of the fridge for me. However, I'm afraid that's a pandora's box. They are such an unbelievably intelligent breed. They are so incredibly easy to teach! They love to do tricks and please their owners!
I think that might be one of those tricks that starts off as cute; but is not so cute after they empty all the drawers in your house :) I can see what they're thinking "Mom wants us to open all the drawers we can". Beautiful dogs though.
