Have you ever played Far Cry 2? That game had horrible AI. The NPCS could shoot at you and actually hit you without even being facing your general direction. So they could be aiming at a tree nowhere near you, fire, and you'd get hit.

Hi, I play(ed) this game with gtx460, so I use the highest res. But I did shoot a full clip with AK5 in a tree in real life, in obligatory military service here in sweden. The tree did not break like in the clip.

Crysis is a very good game, its one of the few games where physics actually does add to the game play, rather than just being a gimmick (ala half-life 2? the grav gun was fun, but not enough unique things with it)

I mean, sure, it doesn't beat older classics like Unreal or Quake, but it still beats the hell out of every console game on the market.

Plus the extent which it can be modded is just short of amazing, especially with flowgraphs.

the reason why the trees break like this is becuase the trees are held together on a "joint system" where a specific amount of pressure is applied to a point which causes the break, each bullet has an amount of force and all of that force will break the constraint, so it dosent matter what hits it, weather it is a truck or a feather, as long as it creates the amount of pressure needed it will break.

I believe he means realistic physics wise. In the game your character is equipted with a high tech nano armo that gives immense amounts of protection (i.e. surviving a multitude of shots), as well as super strength (able to throw heavy objects a significant distances).

So its perfectly reasonable and realistic, within the game world

he's talking about the bobbing of the gun due to your breathing, the natural up and down side to side motion when u hold ur scope/sights up,

simple, use maximum strength, it controls recoil and how much ur gun bobs.
