There are some people who were just made for the characters they play. I couldn't think of anyone else in Saiorse Ronan's role in "Atonement". And I can't think of anyone replacing Ashley as Alice Cullen. However, I agree with Twilight critics who say that Kristen Stewart isn't that great as Bella.

Even though Ashley has the perfect pixie like features that Alice does, they should have casted a shorter actress for the part. Alice is supposed to be 4'10'' and very tiny. Ashley is 5'5'' and therefore average.

Alice has an elfin face and a small, petite, graceful stature if I recall from the book and the only actress you pointed out who had small delicate features was Rachel McAdams. Alice was supposed to be "small and thin in the extreme, with deep black hair cropped short and spiking out on all sides". Ashley did perfect justice to the role and didn't ClevverTV ever think of the sinuous movements and high soprano voice? None of those actresses have very well modulated voices. :(
