  • Holy moly. This is f***ing epic. I *love* YouTube!

  • Fantastic.

  • amazing post! thanks

  • Carl gets his due - an original super rockabilly cat!

  • these men could sing then and they still sound good

  • don't get no better

  • God Bless these cats!!!

  • I saw Dave in concert this summer on a small tour of Sweden as the Refreshments' special guest. He looked in good health and sounded outstanding! Man, did he play that Telecaster! Smoking hot!

  • I see the late great Micky on guitar in the background.

  • Makes you wonder why Dave Edmunds was never in the Traveling Wilburys

  • Splendid!George excellent guitarist, Carl-PaPa!

  • Dave did 5 or 6 CDs after this and a live CD or 2 Plugged in and Closer to the flame are faves of mine but all are good.He had a bad hart ordeal and lade back for some years but still gigs from time to time.He is the best rock and roller of all time

  • i dont understand so what happened to dave? And instead of copying and pasting it, can you say it in english please? lol

  • Ooo man I love this.It is the gods at play.Dave Edmunds was M D on this show so it had to rock it's his band as well.We lost George ans Carl this can stand for them..the BEST of rock and roll

  • If it weren`t for Carl Perkins who the fuck would Elvis be?

  • These guys (and girl) are obviously having the time of their life! This is from a great Video called:

Carl Perkins & Friends: Blue Suede Shoes - A Rockabilly Session

Pick It Up! A Good Time Is Guaranteed For All!

  • What a song!

  • excellent my friend

  • Great song. The Beatles should have covered it.

  • @Tidsch they made a cover on an album of rehearsals called 30 DAYS (4 cds) they are rehearsing on get back/let it be sessions and i think they plays 2 times that song

  • They're like the Beatles in a different line up but only george remains...

  • carl is the guy who made george want to learn guitar. jimmy page is a big carl fan too. of course any guitarist worth his salt is. british kids of those times had a bigger love of the early rock-a-billy stars then most american kids did. american kids often fell for the tame teen idols recruited, created, and packaged by the recording company. guys with no balls . harmless. unthreatning.

  • George always was Mr. Highfalutin Economic Guy. His simple and perfect solo prove it!!

    Wonderful and superb line-up!

    Carl ... Thanks for all!

  • amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love this video carl perkins was one of the true great entertainers. would of have loved to play guitar with him. God bless.

  • The Beatles did:"Everybody's Tryin'To be My Baby,Honey Don't and Matchbox. The first sung by George and the others by Ringo.

  • The Beatles covered more Carl Perkins songs than any other artist, they admired his style and music. Easy to see why, he kicked major ass

  • gawd i love this video!

its so wonderful to see George up there with his hero, you're almost geeked FOR George, even all these years later, still..lol

And of course thoughtful George exalting himself after the performance to his hero, class acts all of them..

  • @mrchitown29 damn, i wish I'D written that!

  • 3 generaciones buena rola 3 leyendas

  • esta cancion me empezo a gustar cuando la escuche por primera vez cantada por Paul McCartney en las Sessiones de Let It be

    grande george!! :D

  • I've never seen George smile that much

  • That's because not only were Carl Perkins & George Harrison close friends, George Harrison was a huge fan of Carl Perkins.

  • @fernandopandre He's happy to be with his master

  • @fernandopandre

Exaulting himself ? How and where did he do that ? Maybe you've used the wrong word and you meant "humbling" himself. I'm sure you meant good things anyway. Cheers.

  • WOW do I miss Carl Perkins.

  • Comment removed

  • oh ! cette façon de George a de chanter le rock avec grâce et douceur comme s'il marchait sur la pointe des pieds! on a perdu un grand artiste et guitariste!

  • Watching this is making me tear up T_T

  • Truly one of the most underated songs in R&R history, sung by 3 of it's most underated stars

  • Great...thought someone posted he was gone...thanks so much the the answer.

  • What happened to Dave?

  • He`s still alive

But already it he does not touch for problems with hisdisc company

He lives in london, is a shame that already they it do not support him

    he`s a great artist

Regards and thanks for see the video

  • That's strange because I also heard of his death.....of course, anytime someone with the same name as a celeb dies, they shoot out the news, without checking if they have the right one, for instance, twice they reported William Schallert's death over the years and he's still with us!!!

  • I didn't know about Dave...so very sad...such a loss, all three of them

  • He`s still alive

But already it he does not touch for problems with hisdisc company

He lives in london, is a shame that already they it do not support him

    he`s a great artist

Regards and thanks for see the video

  • Carl and George: Gone too soon.

  • Now Dave, I can't believe it.

  • I was at Carl's house in 1992. Had a great time and made a video of Carl and myself. Carl was a genuine guy.

  • The best version ever

  • God gave us rock 'n roll! Halle-fuckin-lujah!

  • I've never seen this before, this is really great! Three rock legends!
