I think the people who are saying this is a terrible remix probably aren't very into electronica. Styrofoam has done some pretty cool things with this track. Just because it's not to your tastes it doesn't mean it's a bad remix...it simply means you don't like it. Me for example I happen to love the chopped up vocals, they really give an emphasis on how good the melody is.

Hardly butchered. Styrofoam is an exceptional indie/electronica artist who has worked with jimmy eat word and death cab for cutie to name but a few. This is a very good take on an already great song.

I really like this remix, but you do kind of have to be in the right mood. Luckily the rest of 'Stay on my Side Tonight' is downbeat and introspective enough to set it up pretty well. The cover of 'Half Right' is great.

Actuallay I like them both. This remix seems to fit the song well if you listen to more than the music alone. The lyrics just seem to fit into this mix, and it also fits if you listen to the deeper meaning of the song.

But nevertheless, I like the original a lot, too. the original version seems a lot more sensitive and sends out a ehole different emotion.
