WAYS TO STOP HIM FREEZING AND NOT OPENING THE DOOR TO LIBARY

Step 1:When you go and fight the 2 Orcs that are sleep bring one of them up the stairs

near the libary door that is locked to kill you

Step 2: Get the wizard to come up the stairs as well and fight him

Step 3: Kill the orc and the wizard will open the door and not Freeze!

Damn, when I did the quest, I had to deal with 3 fucking Sabre Cats outside the temple and they kill me every time. How come you only have to deal with Frostbite Spiders?

omfg my game is glitched where i am supposed to talk to him before i get the potion thing and it wont let me talk to him or he wont talk to me so i m going to restart the quest and see what happens and if he still is glitched i swear to god im gonna put in arrow in his fucking skull!!!!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who assumed the voice at the end was Mara, and slaughtered him immediately after she told me he'd turn on me, only to go "Oops" upon figuring out her true identity. XD Not that I bothered resetting it. By that point, I was so pissed at the fact that I literally had to push his glitchy ass through half the dungeon that I dragged his corpse into a pile with his 'brothers' and tea-bagged them all at once. Despite being female. (Is that still tea-bagging?)

the game itself would be good if there were less or no glitches at all. all the glitches make the game pretty bad. gameplay is fun as hell. the game with glitches sucks bad.

If you Don't kill Erandur he can become a "Free," Mage follower. He He uses destruction magic with one hand while wielding a mace in the other while occasionally using a bow.

Don't forget to get the Hidden Easter Egg chest in Dawnstar...have fun

Staff owns. You can keep stealing dreams from hall of countenance/attainment at the college of Winterhold, while eveyones asleep. After stealing dreams, just wait until the next night. rinse and repeat!

@timmyisthefly The quest says that long ago in that tower, orcs came to attack it because the skull they're trying to destroy right now was giving them nightmares just like it's giving the people of the town nightmares. In the struggle, the mages of the tower had no choice but to use a mist that would put everyone, including themselves, to sleep in the tower. The man that you follow was the mage who unleashed the mist, but ran away before it could put him too sleep with the others.

My game glitched that Erandur didn't appear when I went through the door, just saying that he was on the other side of the temple... And I just continued my game after this. Now I've played it like 40 hours and it's still glitched .___." Should I just... Ignore this quest from now on, or try to get it work somehow? Though, is this quite important quest?

You will not get the staff if you do not

A: Kill him

B: Stop the ritual

You have to do these if you want the staff
