go to google and type in download internet explorer 8 and search 3rd link down click it and it brings you up to the new version of internet explorer 8
after installing it...does it requires to reboot?? i have tried windows update after the update is done it requires a reboot..after the restart my wireless network connection dissapeared....i am running xp sp2 it has its own internet explorer free in wondows xp, do i need to uninstall the built in internet explorer 6 in windows xp??

You can check by clicking Start, and then click Run.
In the box, type winver, and then click OK.
You should see a box where there should stand:
Microsoft (R) Windows
(Alot of numbers) and in the end of those numbers it should say what XP you have.
