And where did u find Punt from, because when the Prophet Muhammeds followers came to africa, the first african kingdom to convert religon was kingdom of punt, who were the first muslims in africa? Somalia then Egypt. The 3 Countries, are basically Christian/Arab states. Not that other African nations aren't but the point is, Western Religions has done more eradicated indigenous practices in this places compared to Western/Central/Southern Africa.
Sudan is an interesting country where Northern Sudan is basically an Arab State, while Southern Sudan though Christian, for the most part has elements of indigenous African practice.

I do not necessarily mean ethnicity but rather mindset. The power structure in Sudan(which is in the north) considers itself Arab.
There is evidence as far as Dogon and the Yoruba in West Africa that have customs related to the Egyptians.
Somalia is closer to Egypt than the Dogon/Yorubas people yet the latter appears to have more in common culturally with Ancient Egypt.

It is sad that most people are stuck in what happened after the 19th century. Instead of our shared glamorous history, we focused on the wrong things and we allowed colonizers to write our history. Hope our gandchildren will do better.

There is ZERO proof that would suggest Eritrea even existed during the 2000 BC time frame.
Ethiopia and Somalia both had great kingdoms that ruled over Eritrea.
2000 BC Ethiopia was Axum with it's capital and leaders from Ethiopia (Axum) and we controlled Eritrea.
History says that Eritrea was just a colonized area that produced nothing for the development of Ethiopia's Axum Empire.
The one thing Ethiopians did get out of Eritrea were the "Barya" or the slaves from Western Eritrea.

No you're wrong hundreds of ancient artifacts were found in somalia, the archeological process was halted because somalia is not pretty tourist friendly right about know. There is alot of evidence claiming that punt might be in somalia, one of the being hafun is the ancient trading center of opone in which hundreds of egyptian artifacts were found.
