  • I have this model with fenders and tail rack and mesh seat. I needed a lower 24 tooth chain ring for the steep hills. I love it. My dog rides in my lap up and down the hills and runs on the flats. In any event. I love this machine. I ride it at least three times a week. I use metal flashlights as everything else has broken. I'd like to add turn signals as going downhill I can keep up with traffic and use the whole lane. Everyone who sees it loves it. I would like to import them.

  • Any updates? I bought one directly from TW Bents in Taiwan but the non suspended Cro-Mo version. Im not happy with it as there is too much flex in the boom and brake steer is kind of bad. I am hoping that the T1X (made by TW Bents from what I heard) will be available soon. Actionbent says they are out of them.

What can you tell me about yours? Boom flex, brake steer, etc.

    Thanks, Erik

  • I've had mine for two years trouble free..samething mounted a head lite and taillite also just mounted and small video up front ....it's a joy too ride.

  • thanks for the response. sounds like you made a good purchase with AB. i am further encourage towards AB. is there any peddle steer when pumping hard. "IE up hills" did you have any issue(s) with the assembly

  • @ballahp Not really. Some if you are in the wrong gear. If you keep your cadence up, not really. Go to a 24 tooth chain ring for steep hills. At those speeds it hardly matters. I actually wish I could go smaller as we have steep hills. Also be sure your rear quick release is on tight, because this can move while pumping hard and it will mess up your rear derailleur allignment.

  • Sweet recumbent. Looks like great fun. I wonder how durable the actionbents are. Thinking of picking one up.

  • @ballahp I had it now for about 10 months and no problems so far. I ride at least 30 miles x week. I move the seat back a couple of inches to have a softer ride closer to the shock absorber and I installed a beacon, a front light, a mirror and a speedometer. It is very fun and I'm free of pain in my back, I love it!
