OK U-TUBE family I am looking for a old school song but I cannot remember the name of it but at the end of the song the choir beak off into different parts as so: S keep on holding on keep on holding to his hand. Altos : don't give up don't give in no matter what the world says you can win. Tenors : keep on holding, holding to his hand, keep on holding --keep on holding on. Then the choir start to sing the alto line all together. Can someone please help me? Post it on here . God Bless.
Yes Lord, yes Lord, now that's how you do it. I've always loved this song. I have a friend who can take you to the mountain with that song. Bless God for you putting this song on here.
Thank you sharing this song...I am from St. Louis and someone posted it on Facebook. Had never heard it before, it is my new favorite old song..speaks volumes...it is really a blessing to me. They sound divine.
To BigBennManning: Is your grandmother's name joAnn Anderson? I remember her. I was singing when this was recorded. i was a member of this choir from 1976-1982, when i moved out of state. joAnn was a dear friend. I am now an ordained pastor, graduated from seminary with a mawster's of Divinity degree and am currently working on a doctorate. New Jerusalem had a lot to do with my Christian formation. i praise God for Rev. Flyd, jeff, Kenny, Curtis, and the entire NJ Family.
Brenda Battle Jordan was a member of Jerusalem's Mass choir at this time and is singing on all of the Hit songs, of that time,i even had some solos, too, thanks Jeff.
I first heard this truly spiritual song in the early 1970s on a 45 record by the Jackson Family of Mississippi. That version is awesome too. If anyone has it, please share it. Thank you.
