  • "Who *CARES* about tulkus? and what happens to them..."

Love that, Dzongsar Rinpoche is one of the most "with it" Tibetan teachers of our times.

  • Garchen Rinpoche is incredible! He thinks he's an average person, but anybody who looks at him feels, WOW, there's something amazing about this person. Hahahaha, Garchen Rinpoche is best teacher, his students are the best students~

  • I agree with Dzongsar Khengtse that the Tulku System is going to ruin Buddhism and Chatral rinpoche is one of the greatest masters of our times.

  • I agree with Dzongsar Khengtse that the Tulku Sytem is going to ruin Buddhism and Chatral rinpoche is one of the greatest masters of our times.

  • Where can I find this movie, I really want to see it!

  • My teacher, Kyabje Garchen Rinpoche, is a Tulku. I really couldn't care less if this is true or not, certainly it is beyond my power to prove. I only know he is profound and compassionate. I know I was lost before I met him. I know he is my heart.

  • I am quite interested in mahayana buddhism and looking forward of learning more of it, but have to so far I consider whole tulku system - especially the ones in the west - fishy and irresponsible.

  • How were the American tulkus discovered? By who?

  • Gesar, I miss you.

You're a beautiful person, whether we don't associate ourselves anymore.

You have enlightened me and I am glad that I had the pleasure of meeting you.

  • You need to register the film on IMDB. If the film has an official site and you've screened it at film festival, then you can and should certainly register it at IMDB. Not to do so is professional suicide. A film doesn't really *exist* until it is registered on IMDB

  • @softlavender Never mind, I went ahead and registered it on IMDB myself. It's on there now.

  • Check this ... i just watched the full length movie here -> Full Movie World . com

  • To be recognized as a tulku is a choice on the part of the incarnation. Some rimpoches chose not to be recognized because they want to be away from politics, responsibilities and lack of time for their own spiritual advancement. I know of some that spent lifetime meditating or mingle with society. Others chose visibly to uphold the lineage. Both are valid.

  • so where is film?? So what will you do guys?? Tulku system has positive and negative side..can give power to wrong ones, develop small confusion..or make much stronger real boddhisatwa..make them again the nature of..everything..give them best methods to realize the nature of mind fast..later they could show something really special..btw in comparison to Vajrayana Masters the Jesus was just a funny beginner ;-) So don`t sleep! meditate!

Enjoy mind, enjoy space & light, develop full potential!!!

  • what is the song in this video?

  • @dupuis137 The song is "In It" by Don Brownrigg.

  • May the authentic Buddhdharma prevail!!!

  • Well, you just have to see what the Tulkus system creates: 2 Karmapas, 3 Dudjom Rinpoches, etc, etc, People confused, great Lamas confronting each other... sects, sects and more sects...

  • "The tulku system can be the ruin of Buddhism" when he said that, tears were welling up, but then he said "Who cares about tulkus anyway?" ---- this was just a mere "please give me money" -- the usual thing

  • I am also not a buddhist anymore - it was hard to say that for the first time!

  • Rinpoche cautions "This tulku system will be the ruin of Buddhism ... who cares about them?!", and yet bla-blah here snuggles up with "How can I contact these tulku?"

And that, my friends, is a snapshot of our reality.

    KyeHo!

  • how can i contact these tulkus

  • super easy, you just check wich thibetan buddist center with a rinpoche teaching is closest to you, than you just go to listen to their course and speak to them eventually

  • Why hasnt Kundan ever been a Nun. Every life Kundan has been a Monk. Poor old Dorje Shungon, maybe Dorje just wants Kundan to be a Nun. Anyways i hope Tulkus can become a part of western culture.

  • Well now, even i as practitioner did not know about these westerners tulkus!

It's....most intriguing, and i hope to buy it at the Montreal NFB soon and show it to the monks at my temple.

    Great things..about internet, sometimes.

  • Yes, who cares about tulku sistem? Buddhism is much more important!

Tulku is a small part of Buddhism.

  • Someone is jealous!

  • Duh... I'm unenlightened

  • So why is these western tulkus coming up now? Are they part of the Tibetan ruling class? Chantral Rinpoche is a great example that some one that is not a Tulku can be a Great teacher, recognised as such and lineage holder... But who knows? maybe he does come back as a crazy western kid... Because one thing is necessary to true spiritual practice is energy and honesty, those two qualities can be wild when one is a teen...

  • @crazedmystic OH MY GOD YOU'RE MINDBLOWING. OMG. WHAT A CONUNDRUM. ITS LIKE, IF WE'VE ALL WALKED FOR AN HOUR SHOULDN'T WE BE AT THE EXACT SAME SPOT. IT WORKS ON SO MANY LEVELS. YOU ARE BRILLIANT GUY. XO.

  • @crazedmystic Funny enough, I heard Steven Seagal is regarded as a Tulku.

  • @crazedmystic I think, in answer to your query...that with each reincarnation, we create a new or different karma which will reveal itself in the next life.....I don't think there is one karma that follows you throuhjout. We are constantly altering our karma; present & future. _/\_

  • @crazedmystic becuase we have different minds. the cause of my birth cant be the cause of yours. just becuase we have had beginningless lives doesn't somehow mean our karma should ripen at exactly the same time. cause and effect is extremely difficult to understand

  • The song is "In It" by Don Brownrigg.

I can't post url in comments but search and there is a video for it.

  • Thank you!!

  • Thanks, Gesar. I am looking forward to seeing the film. Your courage, humor and honesty are a service to all of us. Keep on carrying on. Cheers!

  • Awesome trailer. My main Lama Is Lama Yeshe /Osel. so I am very interested! Hope to meet you sometime.

  • "tulku" is a just a shortened word for nirmana-kaya. The first of three bodies of the Buddha (Buddha is the awakened Mind). The nirmana-kaya is not a real Buddha nor does he preach the Dharma. The Buddha as he appears to ordinary minds is the nirmana-kaya. The true Buddha is the Dharma-kaya, i.e., the fundamental body (i.e., the absolute).

  • I like eggs for breakfast.

  • Wow I am not alone!!!!!!! its hard!!!

  • Terrific to hear from you! I hope you are well. I'd love to be in touch.

  • In my Tradition we were asked not to look into Tulku's anymore, because this does become an obsessive task instead of Dharma Practice.

  • Yes,this shall be very exciting to see.

It's very TRUE who cares about Tulkus!

Some Tulkus go and become great 'masters' others take on the west in a different way.

This is film you are making is one deed of a person truely practicing,to give dharma in a different light.

    Thank you Gesar!
