Not really sure if that could be classified as off the wall - I am pretty pathetic. I want to learn Final Cut (I have Final Cut HD, which is a simpler version) but I still find myself using iMovie HD, but iMovie 09 has some major improvements. iMovie08 was just awful.

Thanks for the reply. Final Cut seems to be the one to use. Most of the people at the film festival use Final Cut Pro. I've seen some incredible productions. The Adobe suite has been my sidekick but maybe I should should consider switching.
