I've left my Acer Aspire One (with the exact same CPU as this netbook hes reviewing) running at 100% CPU load for over a week straight and its slightly warm but I would never describe it as "hot", and its not warm at all on the top, only on the bottom...
So yea, I would expect it not to be that hot on the trackpad when its just been sittin there a day idling.
all laptops get hot :P or warm, theres no laptop that is constantly cool, impossible to make it stay cool
