seen many red deer stags on the drive up from glasgow to the north west highlands in scotland, quite scary seeing them when its pitch black at night and your driving a small vauxhall corsa haha

Hi, aan het gewei kun je niet zien hoe oud een hert is, alleen aan de kiezen. Een beetje aan de lichaamsbouw kun je een schatting maken.

Red deer look a lot like what we call Elk in America and Canada, and what some countries often call elk are Moose around here and in Canada.

wow! beautiful animals. Around here, we only have white-tail deer, which are not small but not this big either. These look more like elk I think. or maybe carabu. I'm not sure which, I've never seen either in real life. We used to have a bunch of elk running around up here, but I think the've been hunted to near extinction in these parts. :( that's too bad, from the pictures I've seen, they are also really beautiful animals.

I also love moose. I have seen those in real life.
