  • Massa lost about 3 tenths in the last sector.... Harsh but fair.

  • ok....the fact is these cars are built for driving in clean air and because of that they creat massive turbulance out the back, much like an airplane does only the opposite because an f1 car produces downforce compared to lift force. so when a car gets within 1-1.5 seconds of the car in front he is therefore impeeded because the air is not flowing as smoothly over the following car, creating less downforce (cornering speed). therefore this "turbulance" meant massa had less gripin the final turn

  • alonso is miles in front...

but ferrari always made the most weird decisions...

  • i didn't see anything wrong with that at all :S

  • he did this 4 robert

  • FIA stated that massa lost 3 tenths in the parabolica which if massa had not been penalised would have put him in 3rd place instead of 4th. alonsos destabilised air coming out of the renault prevented massa putting his foot on the accelerator early in the parabolica. this cost massa 3rd place, maybe even second

  • Massa needs all the help he can get, absolute rubbish driver.

  • You must be blind then

  • Or he's a simple-minded idiot who's so in love with Ferrari that he's long since lost all vestiges of integrity.

  • So your 100% sure that Massa was slower because of Alonso? Not because of a possible slide or a driver error? Wow, incredible ignorance.

  • watch the onboard footage of this and you will see through the parabolica massa cannot put his foot on the accelerator because of alonsos car

  • bla bla bla

  • stupid argument. being slower in one sector doesn't necessarily mean being blocked. there are a lot of factors that have an effect on sector times for ex. when a sector doesn't meet with car's characteristic or simply because the driver drove not perfectly throughout a corner. by reducing all to one factor you have a cheap scapegoat.

  • Shame on the stewards. That was a political decision, not a real decision by qualified stewards. Alonso was heavy on fuel, his car was damaged but he still did his out-lap at flying lap speed to start a flyer before the time ran out (he managed to cross the line 2 seconds before the time ran out).

  • I'm rooting for Alonso now...what a terrible penalty!

  • Thank goodness Briatore isn't going to take this sitting down.

  • ye, couldnt see alonso "blocking" massa, but anyway, both didnt make any point
