  • Does anyone know what yellow guitar he used? It almost looks like a Ibanez.

  • I like this new song.

  • I would work for the weekend but I work most weekends.

  • it looks like mike reno has gained about 3 lbs a year since this gig.

  • holy shiznitch, princess di and charles were there? they werent rocking out..just standing there staring like a bunch of rich, snotty, unimpressed, royal assholes...cool!

  • @morymb1 Read description. Watch for wax figures of Chuck and Di on loan from Madame Tussaud's.

  • I was there!

  • hey Mike Reno! si hubiese trabajado el fin de semana en eso tiempos probablemente no sería la grasa que son hoy en día!

  • Everybody apparently also wants to sport a curly mullet...

  • just another reason EXPO 86 was AMAZING.

    MIKE RENO FOREVER!

  • 4 people did not worked hard enough for First Pump tickets.

  • This band failed simply from the name. What were they thinking? Great musicians and song-writing....no problem there. They had some great songs and performed them well...but Loverboy? Loverboy? What jackass promoter signed on with that name? Don't tell me. But that was the first mistake.

  • @DickLodge68 .. Kidding me? They can be named whatever they want.

You my friend, are just not out there. This was the 80'S if you don't remember. -_- Better then Dick Lodge. Seriously just don't.. speak your mind like that without thinking first.

  • @MerlintheWiser You don't get it..Dick Lodge is a funny fictional name. Loverboy? I was right there...they were actually a pretty good band but c'mon what High School boys were ever going to admit to liking a band called Loverboy, in the time of great bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and the Scorpions?

  • @DickLodge68 Loverboy was a failure? Your comment was a failure.

  • i heard this from Regular show and Adam Sandlar Click

  • Regular show got me into this song

  • Energetic, can't wait for the weekend myself

  • I freakin' love this song. Pity the video is not super clean but hey, as I found it here and you were nice enough to post no complaints........

  • Growing up in the 80's. I liked this band but I gotta say they have no stage performance worth watching. Now watching them on WGN this afternoon, they have only gone worse, old and fat. Sorry Loverboy, you were once awesome but that was when I knew nothing.

  • I always seem to listen to this on weekends when I'm not working.. :s

  • @ohfyodos HELL YEAH!!!

  • Pretty awesome for a live performance! This was before lip syncing was acceptable!!! LOL

  • such a sick band

  • Thumbs up if you heard this on The Regular Show.

  • You know who else likes working for the weekend? MY MOM

  • @Benjammin2588

    I love you for this

  • @Benjammin2588 No muscleman, You know who else likes working for the weekend? Your Mom...

  • If you work in the video game industry this song has been renamed to "Everybody's working on the weekend"

  • I didn't

  • it stinks that half the people who watch this video have got it from the stupid reeses commercal

  • FistPump yeah!

  • 80's music rocks. so proud to be born when music was still great.

  • 0:46 and 2:02. Best Parts.

  • "You better start from the start..."? Seriously?

  • yeah whats up with those flamboyant dance moves lmao....that dancing has no place in the worlds of rock....was this a tour with michelle, i mean michael jackson....did loverboy ever play a live show or all lip synch shows? good song though

  • @artie0922 He's not lip syncing. It's a function of the video uploading. Happens a lot.

  • thumbs up if he never finishes the last letter of a word

  • Americans do things like explore the heavens, send men to the moon and return them safely to earth. Canadians do things like make maple candy and moose hats.

  • @miamad and build space robots!

  • @miamad and provide you with all the natural resources and brain power to do so! ;) Oh yah, and we have Loverboy and Nickleback.... 'nuff said. LOL

  • @SitarHero28 You can have Nickelback.

  • @miamad And Canadians torture us with Justin Bieber!!!!!! D:

  • Being retired this song is good everyday!

  • Wrongo! Chuck and Di were there IN PERSON, although Charles does look like a wax figure (he always does).

  • this song is on shuan white snowboarding

  • I'm 90 percent sure I heard that this singer is the guy from the "Real Men Of Genius" Budwieser commecials!!!!

  • NO!! That would be former Survivor singer Dave Bickler. Mike Reno never did them.

  • :P great song

  • wow the mullet did rule the world back then, dinnit?

  • everybodys working for the weekend!

  • this song (by loverboy) was musically stitched into todd rundgren's bang on the drum all day. every friday on the 5 o'clock drive home from work - the combo made smiles - of course this was back in the 80's.

  • heard this song from saints row 2

  • Lol same.... it's a good song.

  • thats so funny..senior citizens in th crowd..hope they had ear pluggs..

  • hey, be fair, it wasn't a normal rock concert crowd, it was the gala at Expo, of course there were lots of older people there. I saw Loverboy in the 80s and the crowd wasn't like that at all.

  • I luv bandannas :)

  • Crazy-mad dance moves at 1:37! Mike Reno is the next Michael Jackson! Check out those master Ice Capades moves at 2:39! But seriously, they did some pretty catchy music.

  • @QUBIQJimmyC Maybe he can't sing and dance at the same time.

  • Billy Crystal !!!!

  • Loverboy is from Vancouver. I went to Expo 86 when I was just 9, and wish I had saved all that bullshit pamphlets that they were giving out. I had shit like Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, West Germany, East Germany. I am sure their local library has it. The huge Swatch was the koolest for us kids.

  • XD Sounds like Iasn Gillans song : No lotion for that :P

  • more cowbell plz

  • I was at this show and I didn't even know there was video of it. How did I miss it for all these years?

  • This is one of the best groups EVER and this is one of the best rock songs ever!!! I remember the 1983, when I was 16. I play bass since 1982 and I love the sound of pick - this drummer is GOD and this bassplayer is his right hand. Listen the rhythm!!!! I LOVE YOU LOVERBOY (but I'm NOT gay)<3<3<3 V

  • too bad the bassplayer has passed on in 2000. i never grew up with this band but i have started listening to them and their great...awesome song!

  • Noooooooo.... NOT Scott Smith??? Fantastic bassplayer, he was playing with pick, very razor sound from the best LPs (1st and 2nd album).... I am very sad if he dead. :(

  • yes he is dead unfortunately :( but his awesome display on the bass will always be here for us to hear.

  • Thanx for truth ... that's the way that it is..... BUT : YES, Scott Smith + Matthew Frenette = TOP RHYTHM SECTION of ALL THE TIMES !!! What a rhythm.... I am professional bassplayer and I LOVE simple precision playin'... Thanx for all and good night!!!

  • this was hilarious in Zoolander

  • Hey I remember this WOW, Excellent!

I just filmed the band at their last concert here in Vancouver, I put the vid on You Tube, you may like it!

  • That song never gets old...Rock is Rock whether it is 2 years old or 22 years old! YEAH!

  • i remember this like it was yesterday! =D

    memories such wonderful memories =D

  • damn the boys look hot here and check out Mike in leather...someone pass me a fan please...
