So from what i've seen after about ten video's is the ONLY reason i should switch from IE to Chrome is because chrome is faster.Faster at what? Anything i do with IE,,,,BAM,,,its right there.Why do i need to go faster than BAM.So i should go to chrome because it'll load a web page 3 milliseconds faster while using 5 times the memory??????? No thanks.BAM.

I've been using Chrome for the past few months, and my ONLY reason why I don't default it it because Shockwave crashes A LOT when I use Youtube/Dailymotion to watch videos. Otherwise, it beats Firefox. FF is my default right now, which I really like, but Chrome is good too.

You have to be LOST if you're choosing web browser based on some synthetic benchmarks. Peacekeeper is a JavaScript performance benchmark. It DOES NOT measure how fast: *your web sites will actually open, *your websites will scroll (how smoothly), and so on. Not to mention it doesn't evaluate ease of use and functionality. Long story short it tells NOTHING USEFUL to 99% of IE users, 95% of chrome users and 80% of Firefox and Opera users, as this is how many of them dont know what JavaScript is.

The lightest browser is Opera. If you limit your memory cache, or RAM cache, & cap it, Opera is very light. Say if you have 1 gig of RAM, limit your memory cache to 40MB instead of automatic. Google Chrome is a light browser as well. Firefox not bad either. Firefox 8.01 that is. Being the lightest, is why I like Opera the best, and it's cache settings are good. It doesn't check for new versions of web all the time, this is good overall when constantly using back arrow to previous viewed page.

Raw speed, Google Chrome is the fastest. Opera has more built-in features & options than both Firefox, or Chrome. Opera has a feature called "Enable plug-ins on demand" which allows Opera not to download Java & Flash content until you click on the plug-ins to load them. This makes Opera faster than loading everything. Firefox has a extension that does a similar thing. Forgot what it's called though. Opera 12 will have full GPU acceleration. Opera also doesn't look for new cache everytime either.
