When I was watching IL VOLO create their Concert DVD (released in March 2012) at the Detroit Opera House on Oct. 27, Gianluca's parents (seen smiling from ear to ear in the front row here in this video) were also in the front row. When IL VOLO was singing "Mama", Gianluca reached down and handed his mother a red rose, a very touching moment. Ercole and Eleonora Ginoble did a magnificent job raising such a humble and grateful son (he also has a younger brother Erny, whom Gianluca adores!).

Gianluca is (according to his neighbors in Montepagano) a very humble person, who isn't letting fame get to him. When he's at home from touring and travel.... he still has to take out the garbage! ;-)

Why on earth Bocelli should address to the other 2 boys? At that time the band didn't exist yet, in fact they met at this competition in which they were the one against the other! Gianluca was the winner of the competition so Bocelli decided to congratulate with the winner! It's a shame most of these comments obsessively mention the guy's looks. Our shallow society today is centered around transient beauty. If Gianluca were ugly, most commenters would not be interested in this group. Or if the trio were female, no girls would show any interest at all. It's all about the external.
@organboi yes you're right, now where they get more and more famous, the look become more important, but rather the music should be more important. And you're right when they were girls nobody care of them, it's the same in all the castingshows mostly the boys wins because the girls call for the boys and not for the girls. I think at first you should regard the voices of a band or a singer, the look should be the second reason. And in my view Il Volo have all fantastic voices.
@organboi You should become more familiar with some of the other IL VOLO song comments.... surprisingly the favorites are pretty evenly spread out between the "cuddly one" (Ignazio), the "cute one" (Piero), and the sexy one (Gianluca). This video shows him at 14, and when he lets out his emotions when his idol gives him complements... that pulls on many people's heartstrings. Yes he's blessed with wonderful looks and a great voice... but he's just a regular humble kid (per his neighbors post).

@sergiopabloz sabes tienes razon en q los maestros son ellos Domingo, Pavarotti, etc si es verdad pero ellos ya tienen experiencia mientras q estos 3 muchachitos tienen unas voces impresionantes para la crta edad q tienen fijate q empezaron a los 14 a cuantas personas conoces tu q tngan esas voces y ese talento desde sus 14 años de verdad q esas voces son una Bendicion q Dios les dio a estos muchachos y q la saben aprovechar asi q no hay q juzgarlos sta s la musica q debe d oir la juventud d hoy

Y can't American kids sing like this...and even like Piero Barone and Boschetto? Mostly, you are correct but we do have the beautiful voice of Jackie Evancho, the voice of an Angel she has!! I really don't like all that "singing" that is out today which for the most part is just yelling!!! Then , we do have the wonderful Josh Groban, who as a teenage sung beautifully,
I am sure if I thought about it, there would be others in put into this very spot, but sad to say, most of what is out there is junk. I love Andrea Bocelli

It's a shame most of these comments obsessively mention the guy's looks. Our shallow society today is centered around transient beauty. If Gianluca were ugly, most commenters would not be interested in this group. Or if the trio were female, no girls would show any interest at all. It's all about the external.

@organboi yes you're right, now where they get more and more famous, the look become more important, but rather the music should be more important. And you're right when they were girls nobody care of them, it's the same in all the castingshows mostly the boys wins because the girls call for the boys and not for the girls. I think at first you should regard the voices of a band or a singer, the look should be the second reason. And in my view Il Volo have all fantastic voices.

@organboi You should become more familiar with some of the other IL VOLO song comments.... surprisingly the favorites are pretty evenly spread out between the "cuddly one" (Ignazio), the "cute one" (Piero), and the sexy one (Gianluca). This video shows him at 14, and when he lets out his emotions when his idol gives him complements... that pulls on many people's heartstrings. Yes he's blessed with wonderful looks and a great voice... but he's just a regular humble kid (per his neighbors post).

@organboi In this video he doesn't sing and so you can only comment about his look. and if he were ugly, you could although see how touched he is, and how he lets out his emotions. And when a boy lets out his emotions the most of the girls touched too. and the Il Volo comments are really very diffrent like GerRoland says before.

About 45 seconds into the video the sound and video get out of sync, by the end of the clip they are at least 1/2 minute out of sync.
Explanations of what Bocelli is saying can be found on pages 6 or 7 or 8 (depending on how many additional posts. In a nutshell... Bocelli says 1) think with your brain, sing with your voice and 3) listen to the commands of your heart.
When Gianluca first sees Bocelli, his feet almost buckle beneath him.
And yes, his mother Leonora, is very beautiful!!

About 1 minute into the video the sound and image went off track by about 20 or so seconds. So there's no missing end to the video (more likely at the 1 minute mark is missing).
