Hey i took my screen out..Thanks to your upload...When i later fixed it back..Much of my problems were solved...but the part of the screen near bottom right is not working properly..Without fully reconnecting the screen,when I slide my fingers over the screen I found out the region 8,9,0,# is not selecting.So, I can't use that numbers. @santhoshunlimitted No problem. The problem sounds like the digitizer itself, so alignment may not have much to do with it. I would suggest checking the screen connection and making sure the screen itself is not damaged. Sometimes it helps to swap out the original screen (if it is functional in the area that the new screen is not functional) just to determine if it is a possible faulty replacement screen. I would then suggest contacting the seller of the part directly.

@7205783 To determine the version you will need to disassemble your Storm and get the LCD version from the flex cable on the LCD screen. To disassemble and repair the screen you will need a pry tool of some sort and a T-6 Torx Screwdriver.

@7205783 We understand, but sadly there are no reliable ways of determining the LCD version that WE have found. There may be options out there, but the most fool proof way is physically looking at the LCD flex cable. As for the pry tools, you can improvise with other tools if that is the only thing holding you up.

@pureiron0 Stripped screws are always difficult. You will either need to use a screw extractor to remove the screw, or use a small drill bit to drill out the screw and remove. These are your two easiest options.

@fisnikation I'm assuming by the screen being off that it is a "black screen"? If so, it seems odd that a replacement screen would already die out. Could be an issue with the motherboard, however that gets much more difficult to diagnose. Replacing the screen should resolve the issue, but something seems to be causing the screen to wear out quickly.

Afternoon! My storm has a black screen.. If you press hard on the screen you can see a picture, I thought this was down to a faulty LCD I ordered the correct screen and fitted it whist making sure the connection was on and there was no foreign object's but still no joy!! @Millsisgod Hmm, could be an issue with the motherboard itself. If pressing on the screen presents an image, it is likely a connection issue. Somewhere the connection is not fully in place. I did everything you say untill the antena part (didn't get that one quite well) and the back part simply just doesn't pop out. looks like it's stuck somewhere near the sd card entry, can you gimme a tip? I love my BlackBerry *.* want it back

@stifl3rh Double check you have no other screws holding things in place. The Blackberry uses quite a bit of adhesive, which secures many parts. The adhesive will feel very difficult to remove, but take it slow and pry up carefully. Hope this helps, good luck!

hello just replaced lcd-digitizer on bb storm 2. It powers on, so far everything ok but it is unresponsive to the touch it wont work. After a minute or so screen goes black I think power saver mode and even if I press any other button screen wont come back on. If I take battery out, it will power on normal again. He ended up pulling out the antenna connector attached to the touchscreen that apparently control if it senses your touch. There isn't an antenna connected to the screen. And the antenna does not control touch. You should just need a replacement screen to fix the touch screen issue.

This obviously makes me happy but just to re-confirm before I get to optimistic (I've talked to the guy again so I might have a clearer understanding)... When he was taking off the touch screen he also pulled off the little cords or whatever you may call it attached (as in it is completely unattached to the phone).
