@dantebezze hey buddy not a stupid question at all! From what i gather he definately uses the "art stix" for the basecoat. The pencils he uses seem to blend very nicely so i assume they are the "softcore" pencils. You can view them all on the prismacolor website

1. other than the charcoal he used early on, does he do everything else with coloered pencils? what is he wiping away with that cloth?
