I don't think the point of Lost Generation is how long it took to make it. While it may be true that it didn't take very much time -- though keep in mind that their voice acting is infinitely many times better than yours, which does take time, and that they had to write their music for the video, which I don't think you did -- the point is its message. And it has a message and it conveys it well. I usually consider myself a realist, but it's a nice video, even if it is a little cheesy.

Lost Generation is amazing, and it's not about the time that goes into it, whether it takes 20 minutes or 20 weeks, it's about the outcome of the work. That's what I think, and I hope some agree with me.

Even taken as pure satire, this send-up is a depressing glimpse at the sector of society who call good evil, and evil good; who mock rather than create; who consume rather than produce; and who seek to debase the human condition rather than raise it to a higher level.
Video IS dorky; the sentiments in it are nice, though. Certainly, a little trick with words isn't going to save the world....getting up off our butts and doing something about it is the way to go...

The difference between this and lost generation is that lost generation was created to have a point of showing what happens if we reverse how we think. In a way it's symbolic.

It's not witty to formulate sentence fragments to mean the opposite when read in reverse order. As for him formulating an original thought, I'd take a look at the video he is rebutting. It's nothing new. "We can make a difference. Blah blah." It's so cliche. I'm also fairly certain a guy like this is above YouTube ratings. By all means though, "like" his video...

I agree, I watched "Lost Generation" and saw it as moderately clever in a gimmicky kind of way. I think you've done well to show how relatively easy this sort of thing is to do, not the work of truly exceptional genius that people seem to be going on about. IMO it seems you are simply debunking the original video's method NOT it's message.
But nothing compares to the irony of all the "Lost Generation" fanboys abusing the crap out of you for not having compassion, love and hope in your soul.

Video IS dorky; the sentiments in it are nice, though. Certainly, a little trick with words isn't going to save the world....getting up off our butts and doing something about it is the way to go...
For some people though, it is easier to watch the video and feel virtuous, rather than actually DO something. Skip the words and go right for the deeds!

The difference between this and lost generation is that lost generation was created to have a point of showing what happens if we reverse how we think. In a way it's symbolic.
You obviously missed the point if you think it was just about "oh look, I can reverse words and it'll just seem cool", which seems to be the case as this was all about "oh I can do it too".
