the way to help the rich isn't to give them money through government programs, it's to lower taxes, have smaller government, allow for the poor people help themselves. I believe with the way taxes and regulations are now, it is hard for them to help themselves, and THAT needs to change, STOP with the government programs that take MY money and gives it to someone else who DOES NOT work as hard as me.

When Clinton left office middle-class wages were at an all time high to cost of living. I would not call that a recession and we were not up to our eye-balls in debt.

When Clinton was in office, people had the luxury of concerning themselves with who was getting a hummer in office instead of how they were going to pay their bills. Hell, maybe Bush needs a hummer to straighten him out.

You don't lower taxes to borrow from another country, the answer is to lower taxes and CUT government spending by ridding ourselves of the many government programs and bureaucracies that shouldn't even exist. Maybe the republican party has strayed from its platform. That is however the conservative stance on the role of government and we need to elect someone who can do that. Someone like Congressman Ron Paul.
