  • Another one not on the Looney Tunes DVD collection.

  • Despite that cat business (and that was one of the best 'cat gets his' scenes I ever saw) there is a serene, magical quality in some of the Sniffles cartoons. Later when Sniffles moved to comic books some of the magic quality went with him and was the basis for the stories. The cartoon Bedtime For Sniffles (also on YT) is almost pure serenity and pathos. Sniffles at his best is perhaps unique in cartoon history.

  • Lool i remember the 'how dry i am' song from years and years ago and looked it up today. Still as awesome as ever. I will admit that i never knew the mouse was drunk at first now its blindingly obvious haha. A mouse and an Electric Razor getting wasted at a drug shop at night sounds like fun.

  • IM DRUNK AS FUCK! :D SRSLY

  • stray right here, right exactly here, just stay right here. lol

  • thank you for this i have a cold and was loking for it

  • Where'd it go?

    Who swiped me?

    I've been robbed. Police, Police.

    Lmao

  • Mouse gets wrecked off some cough syrup with an electric razor. Classic.

  • How do I make this my ringtone?

  • There's also a cartoon on YT where a cider mill bubbles over, leaks the hard stuff into the millstream, and all the animals and insects who drink from it downstream get hammered.

  • lol he's so drunk ^^

  • What.the.fudgesicle. I totally miss cartoons like this being on tv.

  • @Raekott lol! I agree :)

  • Where can i find these classic cartoons! they bring back so many memories.

  • I remember seeing this several times as a kid...

  • Someone should do a top ten list of the all-time best classic drunk cartoons. This'd be on there; in no particular order, I'd also have "Porky's Party", also from Warners; "Alpine Climbers" (Disney), "Part-Time Pal" (MGM), and an obscure Columbia short whose name escapes me, about a St. Bernard who is good at his rescue dog job when sober but a nuisance when he's drunk. I'm now looking to see if Popeye ever had a nip. I mean, he was a sailor, after all, and they are reputed to be hard drinkers.

  • Originally released in May 1939, and the first of Chuck Jones' whimsical "Sniffles" cartoons (produced sporadically, through 1946), which primarily concerned a little mouse coping with a "big" world. Carl Stalling uses "Deep In A Dream" as a theme. By 1939, most drugstores- especially "chains", like Walgreens and Rexall- were also selling items other than medicine (including clocks, percolators, hair pins, and other "junk", as shown here). And some "cold remedies" DID have a high alcohol count.

  • Ha! The Savoy in my town was a bar before it got torn down; what an appropriate name for this drug store :)

  • No wonder I'm so fucked up.

  • this would make a great wedding song

  • lol...so I'm drunk and I start singing this song, then I look up "how dry I am" on youtube and this comes up! Thanks man (or woman) you da bomb!

  • That shelf sure has a lot of repercolating percolators and radium hair pins.

  • Still appreciate Looney Toons cartoons. :)

  • Man I wish you could find these cartoon shows on DVD.

  • @SuperCheesyMouse you can, but not this particular one. Check out the Looney Tunes Golden Collections.

  • I Love this cartoon it's so cute!!!!!!!!

    I wish I had a pet sniffles!

  • Just love it...just love it...he was and always will be in my heart and soul.

  • Radium Hairpins.

  • The friendship between a mouse and an electric shaver is unbreakable.

  • This is a great cartoon, the music, the animation the character all great art it is. Thank goodness for youtube it won't be lost forever.

  • Mickie Mouse who ? Sniffles was so great when I was a kid.

  • I love these cartoons! Sniffles was the cutest mouse, especially when he got drunk. : )

  • well they do show this one , i saw it last week on Boomerang :D ... Sniffles is my favorite <3

  • XLNT Cold Cure 125% alcohol. Where can I get some? XD

  • Sniffles has a cute voice.

  • My cousins & I grew up on bugs bunny & we never tried to do the crazy things in the cartoons, had sense we did use our brains back than. We came home from school had a snack & watched some cartoons & went out to play we had to be dragged inside. now days kids hardly know what outside is it is all about the video games these days, how sad is that. do kids even play hide & seek or ditchem these days?

  • i remember this one! i havent seen this cartoon in like 10 years

  • They wont show these cartoons anymore because parents are worried their kids will act out everything they see from them, and kids today are just stupid enough to do so.

  • Classic indeed also anyone know if there is a full version of that song if it is one

  • Love that one, thanks for sharing. I haven't seen that in maybe 10 years

  • How dry I am, how wet I'll be if I don't find the bathroom key.

I found the key upon the shelf, but it's too late, I wet myself. (as yes childhood rhymes) =D

  • I love my looney tunes. Sniffles is so cute! Thanks for sharing.

  • nobody knows, how dry i am...

  • I am still watch cartoons if nothing is on tv it just makes me happy

  • Great old Cartoon, takes me back to Saturday mornings many years ago..
