  • I wish I could see someone attempt a speed record while playing drums, this is totally useless, it's way easier to balance when you're not using your arms. I clocked 270 whilst playing, can you do that tim?

  • hey i love extreme metal playing, but cant get too faston the pedals i have. is there anyway i can improve my stamina and speed? i want Axis pedals like the A-2 longboards in this video, but there way to expensive for me :\

great videos by the way mr. Tim

    -abe

  • 1407 in doublestrokes also 1454 unofficially its a boring video so I wont post it

    Tim

  • dont listen to the noobs tim, techniques are how we play drums. Im learning "all" techniques and mastering them all one by one, i get the feeling youve been doing the same.

  • tim im sorry but i get this feeling that you are trying to prove a POINT that doesnt really need to be proved. really fast drumming like that is useless to me if you dont demonstrate it within some sort of structure e.g. a song ill stick to players like ray luzier and mike jonston thanks.

  • when I play live with BANDS if i can do it with onre foot ill use one.

Yes Ray and Mike are bothe cool players

    Tim

  • @TimWaterson

wikipedia says you hit 1,470 notes, or around there in one minute, is that true, or is it just another wiki-tard messing with wikipedia. nice drumming btw.

  • @Dazza871 My goodness...have you heard this man play? Tim's an incredible player and just has incredible technique and speed going for him. I don't see what your problem with him is.

  • @x8dddx have you heard ray and mike? im not saying tims rubbish im just saying that stuff like this is useless to me if its only focussing on one thing.

  • I have Ray is from my home city, but Tim is incredible as well. He may focus on his speed/accuracy a lot, but his grooves are also very tight.

  • @Dazza871 it's just for fun man. It does have it's uses also. The faster u can play, the more relaxed u'll be at slower speeds, and the more endurance u'll build in less time. for instance, if u can play 300 bpm, it would be easy to play a song at 120, and u could play alot of songs at 120 without getting tired.

  • @Dazza871 Some people "assume" that Tim Waterson has a weak drum style because most of the time, they see him setting speed records. This IS NOT true. I've jammed and recorded with Tim and his drumming in general is excellent.

  • this is bullshit..what the hell are you talking about "world record"? recorded with som piece of shit camera, with shitloads of background noise? doesnt seem very believable if you ask me...

  • If you know anything about trade show they are noisy LOL

I have clips of me accoustic bass drum so you can hear in the video response

PS right foot 1/8 notes at 140 bpm

    Tim

  • @homseladd Noob omg he has got the world record!

  • Sweet. Are you going to enter the battle of the hands one day? It would be awesome to see you break that record as well. Anyway, good job.

  • I enterered in the battle of the hands in warped tour 2002 and was disqualified for using push pull .

I ran 1070 the first try BUTback then no one had seen push pull but now drummers are winning using it to win drumsets.

    Tim

  • That's a shame, 1070 is pretty impressive. But still, the idea of holding a world record with your feet will probably compensate it.

  • Its ok its just the guy that won hit just over 1000?

The problemn with doing things first LOL

    Tim

  • Yeah, that's how it works, unfortunately. Anyway, good luck in the future. It never ceases to amaze me how a human body can develop speed. I'm still wondering how it works exactly. These kind of videos give me a little push in the right direction every time.

  • Speed on one bass is pointless if you can't keep up with blasting. George Kollias is accurate and can keep up with his hands. But still this takes a lot of talent and years of practice so I give you a lot of credit

  • How do you know i cant play with hands?

YEs its difficult to lock in past 250 single foot but I can.

FYI I play in a VAriety band clubs and casinos so I dont play very fast BUT... if I was playing Extreme music id be able to lock at 300 singles handsand feet.

    Tim

  • What exactly are the parameters of this world record? Play 260 beats in 30 seconds without metronome or looking at the drumometer? Is that right? I just want to make sure so when I beat it I'll know that I have the new world record. Details please...

  • The parameters are to play in time with he metrennome my highest run is 599 with the metrenome on 300

    missed it by THAT MUCH....LOL

    Tim

  • Oh, ok, so you play with the metronome and try to get the exact number of beats you're supposed to. So what is the world record for that? I guess 599 doesn't count because it's not a perfect run.

  • Watch the video again play 520 in 60 seconds.

  • I understand now. Thank you very much for explaining. I'll be working on breaking this record now :)

  • Good luck and keep me posted.

    Tim

  • man, i know how hard this can be!!!!

  • tim waterson is no doubt the best at double bass but other than that he's an average drummer on toms and everything else

  • exactly, he's an okay drummer- he's honest about the fact that the double bass technique is not for musicality but sheer sport.

  • which is why he isnt in a killer death metal band...

doubt he would survive mosh pits either hahaha

  • wooooooow

  • fuckin background noise.

  • Give him a break. It's obviously something that he enjoys so let him do it. You don;t have to like it

  • Johnrae87, the fact that you haven't seen this guy play a kit is your problem not his. He makes a full time living as a drummer and has endorsements. You know, talk like this would be a lot more credible if you ever saw a critic of this stuff who had anything going for himself. It's just interesting to me how people who post like you seem to be anonymous hobby guys waiting for a gig. I know youtube is a great place to reinvent yourself, but that doesn't make your comment any less valid.

  • *sniff *sniff sounds like a hater has come to talk shit...No one cares what you have to say. Tim is good at what he does cuz that's what he wants to do. so here's a stfu.

  • obviosly you havent seen many tim waterson videos then

  • you can do 260bpm with one foot after a year and a half of playing?

  • I can do 250bpm on well configured axis al 2, tousand times more even and powerful than this pathetic wannabe. But as i said speed means nothing... i prefer to play some crazy actions ~210 with rly nice controll than to tight my muscles to set new world reccord...

  • well i am gonna be the first to say it... not the last... prove it!!!

im sixteen and im pretty sure i can outdrum you, its not even my main instrument guitar is

  • ur right speed means nothing wich is why hes been on the discovery chanel and been in countless events and and is invited to the namm show to be at the vruk and axis booths...ya what u said meen nothing....and if speed is nothing then why do u like george kollias if he didnt have speed he would be a half descent drummer.....you watched one video evan though u say uve seen others...u clearly havnt because u would know he isnt just fast

  • George Kollias is a dynamic drummer. You cannot compare Tim and George. DO not insult George. Tim is like a body builder that only has big arms, what about the definition of everything else? ...

  • George and I have mutual respect for each others playing

    Tim

  • yeah, every professional drummer does have this attitude....its all about the noobs on youtube

  • loool

  • so what?

  • damn. now i know where to find you, at the vruk booth.

  • awesome Tim! :D

  • Thats crazy!

  • That is so freaking impressive!
