@TommyBNSF just 2 weeks ago?! why didnt they have replacements for them? and i see the sth-10 is still up though. joliet, minooka, and channon took down their older sirens as well, in all 5 thunderbolts, 2 sth-10's, 1 2T22, and a penetrator have disappeared
@amtrak3501 Thats sad. glad i heard cuz i was just going to go see if they were there. that would have been a wasted trip. Btw never knew joliet had thunderbolts.
@mohkfry yeah, the only 1 i knew of, as of july, i saw at least 3 thunderbolts in the town of North Chicago, though idk if they are gone as well, il have to check soon as i will be going out there for the november test
they need too because tornado season will be near next spring our 4 Federal Signal sirens 2 brand new 2001-130's,1 3T22,1 EOWS 612,and 3 Whelen Vortex 4004 a total of 7 sirens all 7 sirens are tested on the first Saturday of the month in every month at 12 noon to 12:03pm for 3 minutes our sirens sound for tornado warnings only they are not used for severe thunderstorm warnings or unless if needed for 80-90 mph winds in Brownsville, Tennessee.
I have heard a Federal Signal 3T22 in the alert mode and I heard it in the hi-low tone for fire calls Have you heard what an EOWS 612 siren sound like? I have heard what the EOWS 612 siren sound like in the alert mode and Westminster Chimes which is hardly ever used the wail or attack signal which is never used for tornado warnings in our area our two new Federal Signal 2001-130 sirens total sirens in my area are 7 4 federal signal sirens and 3 Whelen Vortex 4004 sirens includes 1 old 3T22.
2t22's are the best, too back Elmwood got rid of theirs 13 years ago. Fuckin Peoria county had all theirs wiped out by end of 2001 >:(
