Uh, no. I was also there that night. Frampton was god, but I think everyone was far more blown away by the Doobies, who were mind-numbingly good. One of the greatest acts in the world, for sure.
Doobies were good, I agree. Not the best concert I've ever been to, but still good. The only thing I can really complain about is how damned loud they were! Concerts are supposed to be loud, but not to the point where it is painful to listen to, you know? I think it's cause they had two drummers.
I was there that night. Peter and his band played wonderfully. Rob was amazing that night, moreso than any other concert I've been too. Peter played so much better than the Doobie Brothers, they should have opened for him.

Frampton Rocks, and is one of the happiest guys!
See him whenever he is around.
He played with Tull in NY,
and he was the opening act,
Again, They should have opened for him.
