I got one and it is nice, but I think there is a problem with the harmonist function because it is doing some strange noises... :( All the other functions are OK.
In the old days we used to do that with silver foil under the strings on second hand copy guitars, kickin' back with nothin' but our buskin' change jingling in our pockets. Now it's all, Add to Basket; Buy Now!; Customers who brought this also brought... and it all needs batteryyyyyyyyys!
I LO.V.E. watching some of his facial expressions while he's playing... I really do... (I don't say that as if to make fun of *him*, but they're darned funny!)
Sorry but what a bad demo ! I've bought the pedal anyway but this pedal isn't really appropriate without a peep expression pedal or at least a volume pedal. This pedal is hard to use without a knowledge. Even the face of the guy in this video find this pedal bad. If you want bass track playing your guitar track find a bassist. Pitching is so badly used in music.
I got a question: I got a pitch shifter in my peavey vypyr 30w but it somehow really cuts out the whole tone during shifting. It really doesn't sound very good.
I'm using a Boss metal core ML-2 pedal for additional gain.
I'd like a pedal to just downtune my guitar without having to put thicker strings on it and stuff you know. Is the Behringer one good for this purpose?
@PandaPanda18 For less money, go with Behringer, for a more "professional" like pitch shifter, i highly recommend the Boss Harmonist or the Boss PS-5 but both are quite the investments.
I sell behringer pedals, and I can honestly say they're worth the money depending on the pedal. Boss pedals don't have true bypass in all of their pedals and neither does behringer, the price of components between them is mere cents, Boss has a way higher markup for a marginally better pedal
I bet his house isn't actually full of behringer products. Your better off just saving up a bit longer and buying something that isn't terrible. Behringer stomp boxes ruin your tone even when not in use but in the chain because you guitar signal has to pass through the cheap components / bad design. Can't stand them.. but that my own opinion. I've had 3 behringer pedals in the past.. really no good.
I wish he would stop looking around as if for approval of others in the studio.. it's probably he doesn't know which of the multiple cameras to be looking at.
if you post negative comments about behringer's crappy products, world music supply will block you so other people won't see your opinion and you will waste your money. the truth is, most of these pedals break very easily or are already broken when you order them for american music supply. this comment will magically disappear, i guarantee it!
I have to stop watching because I have people over and I am embarrassing myself laughing. Just the right combination of comments, funny sounds, and seeing the excitement in his eyes over whatever he did last night mixed with whatever he smoked for breakfast bleed into false enthusiasm for this pedal ROFL!
@alapunk13 i have the US600 cuz im endorsed by Behringer, i bought the PS5 to compare it to the US600 (then sold it) and my friend Tom has the Morpheus, and he let me borrow it for the video. bang for the buck, Behringer wins, but he Morpheus drops chromatically and the others dont.
i have this pedal and the BOSS version. the boss one sucks! believe it or not! compare the two! Boss - tracking sucks, you can hear warbling and noise and when you turn the effect on theres a slight mute in the signal path. the BEHRINGER TRACKS POLYPHONY VERY SMOOTHLY!!!!! like the $300 morpheus! but for $75 MSRP THERE IS NOTHING BETTER!!!!!! my comparison video coming soon!
I think you mean pinch harmonics and the answer is no. Pinch harmonics have more to do with the guitar and how you pinch the string with the pick. Harmonics and an octave pedal are 2 completely different things. This thing is called a Harmonist which has more to do with it's ability to add harmony. (another note added to the one being played) Not harmonics
This pedal is actually so much more useful... Especially the effect used at the beginning and end of the video... this guy made it look really lame at certain points when really, it can be used in a similar way to a digitech whammy at a quarter of the cost
@cyb3rb34st nah, if you wanna hear kermit the frog, look into the radio host Casey Bartholomew, former radio DJ for NJ1015. If you google his website, "casey's universe" I'm sure you'll find his new podcasts section and you can hear his voice.
I'd guess so, the boss super shifter does that, and this pedal is simply a complete rip-off of the super shifter :p all the controls and even the tremolo and flutter effect :)
