it's such a shame being a teenage who doesn't even try to pick a flag that was drop on the ground. but this kid shows the bravery and importance of this!! i am impressed with this. i have edited and made many videos but this one inspired me, Simple YET very meaningful.. keep it up!! mga PINOy!
i just saw wikipedia's entry for Lupang Hinirang.uhh.i'm an idiot with these things, so can someone ask them to change the flag (that has a face on it) for me?thanks.
i just looked at the entry myself. did you read the caption under the flag that you were talking about? i'm no expert on Philippine history, but it says that that is the flag that was displayed to the Filipino people when the anthem was first played. is this fact incorrect or something?
ha!i was so engrossed by the face that i didn't read the caption...i don't know whether it's fact or fiction, but i think it's pretty peculiar if it's true...
I think this is a nice video. But I have a question for everyone else--especially for those who believe in complete order and tradition with no exceptions when it comes to singing the national anthem: Is this rendition of the national anthem wrong or disrespectful to you guys? I've seen many Filipinos criticizing the way their kababayan sing the national anthem as if it were a "kundiman" with the wrong tempo and altering the ending notes. Apparently, "hindi tama" yun. What do you guys think?
The one who sings this Lupang Hinirang is very excellent unfortunately this is not the right version and tempo to sing the National Anthem of the Philippines. It must be in a military beat with 4 beats.
Okay.. but do you mean that since this video had a different interpretation of the anthem--even if it is an interpretation that best suits the video and the point that it tries to bring across--it is still wrong?
I say its not wrong but due to respect to Julian Felipe and Jose Palma the composer of the "Lupang Hinirang" and the lyric maker. I believe its effective that the message bring towards to all Filipinos. Do you get what I mean. If you still have questions of what I mean just reply here I"ll try to answer it the best as I can.
I agree, Nicholas. What you said is true. This version is very nice but I also like the military beat as it gives that feeling of being proud to be a pinoy.
Beautiful and moving in its simplicity. The images capture where we are now as a people. Naantig ang makabayang damdamin ko dito. The solo vocalist is from Loboc children's choir (from Bohol). Galeng!

This is not the official national anthem. The official national anthem is a march.

filipinos are good pole climbers (or dancers)?
i see the subtle expression of the tragic state of a nation that was once proud to be an economic force in asia, perhaps the world.
pero, kahit small time at punit-punit na ito, bandera pa rin na pinapalad ng hangin, di ba?

ps: phallic symbol ba yung palusebo?
MonBC 3 years ago
ang palusebo ay simbolo ng tagumpay sa kabila ng adbersidad. wag na natin kulayan ng putik.

Kakuei, for me "Palusebo" symbolises perseverance!
