He'll rapidly fade till his funeral in a year or two, but Frosty the Snowbitch will haunt us for quite a while longer....unless she goes to the stripey hole. Unlike Ted Stevens, she isn't to old to stuff into the barree place for a decade or two. I guess Alaka has a new natural resource, corrupt Republican Icons.
This is great. I really wonder what in the fuck made McCain so ridiculously giddy during that interview with O'Reilly...I mean it's like he just smoked a bowl or got some incredible sex the night before in over 30 years. O'Reilly seemed kinda like "okay...yeah..got the point"
That is hilarious. What is also funny is that Bush's opinions are regarded as somewhat of a universal political acid nowadays. A lot of the ads I've seen for various politicians centre around how much that politician or their opponents agreed with Bush. And those that have a high percentage of agreement (i.e. McSame) are looked down upon by most intelligent people.
pheenixtears: im living in germany... i still went to school when bush was elected the first time, and we analyzed one of his early speeches as a president, and concluded that he is stupid and dangerous, and somehow scary.
the rest of the world knew that this president is an asshole, and a disaster for global politics, before september 11 happened ;)
things look different from the other side of the ocean. but now we see that you finally seem to wake up, which is great :)
Yeah, looking down on America from Canada, I can see how fucked up that country is. I think everyone but America realizes just how fucked up America is. And the scary part is that America spends more money on its military than the rest of the world combined. That means that America could take over the world, if they were so inclined. I could seriously see America attempting to take over the world in attempt to hasten the coming of their "saviour".
We would only need a few nukes and a crackpot for that. We may spend a lot on the military but at least we don't have a population like China. Then he world would be fucked!
If politicians were smart, they would abolish nuclear weapons altogether. Nuclear weapons cause way too much extraneous damage to be considered acceptable weapons. I believe that all weapons are deplorable, but nuclear weapons are in a class all their own.
Pheenix, we need a nuclear arsenal because other countries have them too. Obviously it would be simple if every nation agreed on everything, but they don't. We can't get rid of SOME nuclear weapons, we'd have to get rid of them all. The only thing stopping any country from nuking us (if they were so inclined) is knowing that we'd see it coming and blow them all to hell too.
Of course America needs a nuclear arsenal because other countries have them. That doesn't make nuclear weapons acceptable, it just makes them a necessary evil. Nations agree on hardly anything, but I figure that if there is one thing worth agreeing on, its that nuclear weapons are unacceptable and should all be destroyed. It's as TAA said: "Human beings, we are a species smart enough to build atomic bombs and stupid enough to actually use them."
then there are the treasuries/stocks: saudi arabia holds a few trillions in US stocks, china holds over 1 trillion in treasuries. they just need to push 1 button and your economy goes BOOM. complete economical meltdown overnight, in comparison the current crisis (as it is today) seems harmless.
oh, and... they failed in vietnam, they failed in iraq.
its true that they spend an awful lot of money for military, but all they get for it is poverty in their own country.
If Canada's economy wasn't so dependent on America's economy then I would be in favour of America's complete economic meltdown. That might teach them some humility and also teach them not to abuse the capitalist system.
I know they failed in both Vietnam and Iraq. I am against the Vietnam war even though it was before my time. And I don't think "against" is a strong enough word to describe how I feel about the Iraq war. I think there are much better ways to spend money than on the military.
I guess the people who made the ad. Sounds like they edited it to misrepresent McCain. I'm not voting for McCain, but I don't agree with slandering him either.
stitchman: and your claim that this is fake is based on... what exactly?
other people comment that its a part of a bill o reilly interview. maybe you could check that before you raise such accusations against one of the best independent news projects ;)
Look at the video. All it is is fragments of interviews. Looks and sounds like it was edited to fit what the advertiser wants to say. Main thing is that it is not consistent with how Mc Cain was over the past 8 years. It was only a couple of years ago that Mc Cain began supporting Bush. That is why I question this video. Like I mentioned before, I am not voting for Mc Cain, but I am not for slandering him to influence a vote. Just being skeptical.
But he did say that he voted for bush both times and campaigned with him. If he only started supporting him a couple of years ago then he is lying. You might write it off because it's only a piece of an interview, but you could also, oh, I don't now, look up the interview?
Ah, sorry, I made you misunderstand accidentally. I said that as a characteristic of Mccain, that he has changed from who he was before trying to play in the big league (running as President in 2000).
The clips are about half a year apart, the O'reilly clip from early May and the ad about a month old now.
Poor McCain. I kind of feel sorry for him (nah, not really). This is his last attempt to run for president, and he is doing everything he can just to try to finsh the race, much less win it. Of course he is speaking from both sides of his mouth because this is his last-ditch effort to appeal to the undecided.
pwned.

``That means that America could take over the world, if they were so inclined.´´
the following nations do have a considerable thermonuclear arsenal: russia, united kingdom, france, china, pakistan, india, israel.
so, they could take over the world unless they touch any one of those nations.

Those clips are taken from 1 interview and 1 ad.
In the interview he says he was happy to campaign for bush.
In the ad he says the last 8 years has been bad.
You can find other videos where he says the economy has been good for the last 8 years.
This guy doesn't know what he believes.
The video just shows him debating against himself.
His message isn't altered in any way.
pokermaster54 3 years ago 4
There are 2 clips; the beginning and end is part of a Mccain ad, the middle is from an O'reilly discussion, unedited.
The Mccain today is different from 10 years ago, hence his flip-flopping according to the situation.
Hazetha 3 years ago
i dont want to be picky, but it seems unlikely that he said that he supported both bush-campaigns 10 years ago ;)
okay, i have been picky... cut that down to 3 years, then i can agree :)
