  • An artist could have painted it while someone was laying inside the shroud, therefore making a 3D forgery. I'm not saying that the shroud of Turin is a fake I'm just saying that a fake could be made 3D and not just 2D.

  • @emeryerz - Actually that is not correct. It has been attempted several times using different methods including bas-relief and all attempts have failed. Furthermore thru many studies done by STURP scientists, it has been determined that the image was definately NOT painted by any means...No pigments, binders, tracings, brush stokes, NOTHING was found on the Shroud fibers. There is also 'imaging' on areas which had not or could not have contacted the body.
