  • Hey I love Brooklyn!!!! Lol

  • yea

  • Brooklyn!!

  • This reminds me of Walt Whitman's Poem: Celebration Myself and Sing Myself. Very good Poem. Five stars.

  • This will not be flagged as spam, but, what the hell, it might as well be, considering how utterly useless all of this discussion is. If you write, poetry, short fiction, novels, nonfiction, and in whatever genre you may care to work in, you are free to express yourself regarding anything imaginable. Why severely limit your own creativity by focusing so narrowly upon specific social considerations, whatever they may be? You are disabling yourself by accepting such unneccesary limitations.

  • @cosg9531 Most poets and authors only focus on narrow subjects. The Harlem renaissance for example, were put together to express black consciousness through poetry, novels, nonfiction, short fiction, and what ever genre you may care to work in. Each individual writer has its purposes for writing poetry or whatever. For example, Emily Dickinson wrote poetry about Death, and depression. That was the subject she wrote poetry in. most credible poets and authors have a specific subject.

  • @ILUVJEZUZ94 A specific genre, or genres, yes. Usually. But not any specific "social consciousness". For a creative artist, that is anathema; a creative artist would like for his or her work to be experienced by as many people as possible; that is a human consciousness, and it is, indeed, universal.

  • Lmao priceless. The story he told me about how he came up with this poem is legendary. Dope shit.

  • wait . . .I just realized . . .he's Puerto Rican o_O

  • @x100kx but he's obviously mixed...look at his facial features

  • @x100kx that's what I was thinking the whole time! But I guess because it just proves that not only black people go through these type of discriminations

  • @MrBloodmoneyinc yep thats him

  • It's funny how I use this same logic against those who blame Bush for everything bad in this country. Listening to those who subscribed to this logic would make one think that George Bush is some omnipotent figure, capable of destroying anything in his path. But as Al B Back suggests, this is not the case.

And no, I'm not a Bush fan. Just a realist.

  • Not just justin timberlake but all of these weak white people all ova trying tooooo hard to jack our swag. But still a ridiculous looking weak whitey

  • @diezelish 'Jack our swag'

    It's not your swag.

  • he's not talking about himself, he's talking about the stereotypical black male

  • @leeleefromthed He's not even talking about a stereotypical black male. More like he's talking about how people stereotypically view black males.

  • dag wen he sed he was a poet on atl homeboy was serious i like it

  • I LOVE this guy! He was in ATL saw him on tv spittin...this dude is ILL...and cute, if I may add...LOL! ; )

  • Wait a minute Brooklyn? Is that you? lol

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT

U didnt grow up with whites. and in nyc u aint getting ID'ed like that..

R U BLACK OR BORIQUA? how u gonna make a song like Ven Aqui?

Im half spanish myself but dam.. A WALLET COMES UP MISSING AND ALL EYES ON U???? since when were u in a room full of crackers?

  • @blancoitaliano coming from the white italian?

  • @wutangmatt yeah bitch.. in my country i am white. but in america i am not. im not a cracker if thats what your trying to get at.. but lets b real. listen to what he says and look at what i wrote. im not denying al is a talented dude. but come on

  • @blancoitaliano what do you mean by is he black or boricua, smh racist people dont care what nacionality if you are, if you look black then to them you ARE BLACK. & he is obviously AFRO BORICUA, did you not see him clearly ?

  • @anicashh yeah but dam.. its like make up yo mind nigga.. he will play the black card when its convienent and then he will switch to the PR card when convienent.. he is that type. .u can tell.. he didnt have to diss JT like that

  • @blancoitaliano i sorta feel what you're saying but dont forget that PR is a nationality. its not a race. BLACK is a race & there are many types of what you can consider "black" (not just african american). A Nigerian or a Cameroonian from Africa can be black but so can a Cuban or Dominican dude from the Caribbean. & if he wanna diss JT let him do his thing lol. POETRY IS SELF EXRPESSION (= im not gunna lie ,tht was funny haha

  • @anicashh You have a point bcuz when I filled out my census form, it said that being hispanic is not a race. I'm Puerto Rican but my race is actually indian (Taino). And my wife is Dominican but her race is black. So it all depends on the color of your skin.

  • @streetevangelists1 lol thats why when people ask ,' what are you ' i just say HUMAN , lol i have no time for all that racial stuff, im a human being first & foremost .

  • If you all are looking for deep poetry, take a look at my most recent video on my page. Thank you

  • haha

  • Hella.

  • he is sexy. the end

  • evert sport except rugby

  • @shirkenXCCR you obviously know little about either code of rugby to make that statement...

  • @damaniblues

its all about the all blacks and manu samoa lol who do you go for?

  • damn it may be funny but that shits true and i know it... im not even black

  • if you like poetry and rap look at my videos and subscribe

  • "And despite all that goes on around me- I just want arms to come around me and hold me, despite what you think I am." Beautiful!

  • -This is my nigga yo..... whatsx up with the name Al B Back tho lol.

  • The girl at the very beginning is gorgeous

  • damn he look like dat nigga in ATL...

  • i think that is him.

  • dey said it aint but i i think it is too

  • He is dat nigga in ATL

  • i thought so

  • It is.

  • ok video.

I dont get some of you youtube posters.. shouldnt it be considered racist to be proud of ones collour? I hear alot of you going "im proud to be black" as if it was an achievement. drama is not my intention with this i just belive that to really not be a racist you have to acknowlegde the fact that colour is just adaptation to klimate and not something that makes people different from each other.

  • Pappapas,

If we were living in some fantasy world where racial prejudice did not exist (people being treated differently simply because of their skin color for example), your post might be more relevant. Otherwise, for those who are racial minorities in countries where various skin colors are looked down upon by the majority, your post would appear to be in denial of that everyday "reality". Experiencing racial prejudice one's whole life, often leaves specific results upon the recipient.

  • I still think it makes sense. You cant say that race makes no difference and then say your proud to be black. Unless you say it in reply to a guy who says its wrong to be black. And even then, its still not the correct thing to do. the correct thing is to say: "You are a stupid asshole for categorising me because of my collour, and that is primitive"

  • if you say the exact opposite of him, your jumping along on his train of thoughts... your just in the opposite end of the train, yet same train.

example. "its bad being black"=wrong "its good being black"=Wrong again "its black being black"=amen

  • go on and speak the truth bro or sis! that's what too many ppl don't understand and as much as I enjoyed the humour of the poem - its cool and enough just to BE anything. Being proud to be human should be the most and the least of humanity.

  • True that, and thanks :) and its Bro btw

  • wasnt he in atl

  • yeah Nuknodismann he was in it sweetie I knew he looked fimlliar because he played Brooklyn in that movie.
