  • A canadian gem !

  • I love this song. I'm a Cree Indian, and it reminds me of home all the time. Some day I'll come home.

  • love this one - looking forward to seeing Buffy live again- thank you

  • 0 didn't like this! When I die, I want this played at my funeral!

  • 0 didn't like this!

  • how the hell can anyone despise her?

  • @CrazyNative4 There are plenty of white supremacists around, and they've been getting more active lately. (Besides the escalating violence in the Pacific Northwest and the re-emergence of Nazi symbols, Ethnic Studies have been banned at Arizona colleges.)

  • @FreedomforHaiti thank you very much, and happy 4th !

  • I've been a fan of buffy st. marie for almost 50 years! I guess I am giving my age away...

  • There is no heaven...there is The Creator...we are already there...

  • Ei voi olla ihanampaa laulajaa kuin Buffy! Me too, 35 years I have listened to her songs and music. Creetings from Finland.

  • I came across this CD in Australia. It is simply amazing. This CD is packed with great tracks. Buffy has created a fusion of Progressive Rock with Native American Soul. For some reason this CD was categorized as Folk and poorly marketed. This music speaks to the soul, communicates injustice, and joy, and pain. Only a few have made Rock music that speaks to the heart, that means something. To the roster of Pink Floyd, Midnight oil... add Buffy Sainte Marie.

  • I love this song!!!!

  • buffy....we all are going home..to where is to each..tyvm my dear fellow sister

  • she's too cool

  • This has to be the most beautiful song Ive heard Buffy sing. Lets me feel in my heart how wonderfull it will be to finally go HOME.

  • this song touches so deeply --- it should be played and studied in schools across the world ... it can be thought of us one of our planet's "Anthems" ... e=mc2 energy = motivation x consciousness (to the power of love)

  • Dear Buffy Saint- Marie: Every time I hear this song and I think of the residential schools (that movie- Where the spirit lives). I can't help but to become emotional, because my deceased parents were there. Those schools tried to keep the ugliness of it as a secret for nearly a century. Thank you retired Grand Chief Mr. Phil Fontaine in Canada of 2009 for speaking out to the media- but not only for yourself- but for the rest of us. Because now everybody knows the truth. Amen!

  • I thought her talent was "cute" before but not really thinking she was all that great.

I'm First Nation myself, but this song really hit me strong. This is one of the most powerful and amazing songs I've ever heard.

I have only ONE issue with this song. Heaven implies christianity and I've often wondered that since First Nation religion was wiped out by europeans, why she chose the "white mans" words of religion in the song.

    Otherwise, GREAT song!

  • I used to despise Buffy Saint-Marie, although I knew nothing about her. But after watching 'Where the Spirit Lives' with Graham Green as one of the actors. And when I heard that song 'I'm going home.' To my surprise I read Buffy Saint-Marie's name on it, and it touched my heart. SO NOW BUFFY SAINT-MARIE I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOU!!!

  • I am so happy you now love her but why on earth would you despise her in the first place??? Just out of curiosity. She has always been a source of freedom and light for me - but I grew up in a sad place so maybe it was just a different experience from yours. She has been like a mother to so many who were lost.

  • @DANELDAjeanBRUCE Hey, don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I just converted to her myself. She says so much in her music and it touches you deep inside.

  • Thank you so much for posting the lyrics!

  • This song is deeply touching me. It's sooo beautiful. Thank you too for uploading. It means a lot to me. And it's great that it's findable here now.

  • This song is featured in the movie IKWE. This entire album is like the soundtrack of my life for the last few years. So great to have it here. Thanks!

  • Thank you SO much for that ! It just touches the heart somewhere very deeply. I am becoming a big fan of Hers.

  • Beautiful song!!!!

  • One of her greatest songs. I've been a fan of hers for 35 years now. My soul dances when I hear her voice.

Only have this in cassette. Thank you SO much for posting this entire collection.

    I'm going home.
