At 2:17 we can see Altair had crossbow that means they had a planned before to implement but didn't implemented in AC 1 and AC 2, instead it came in AC Brotherhood.

@Friend863Videos nice video...but you're wrong....in Assassin's Creed 1 there IS Crossbow :) you getting it if you finish all the Additional Memories(sync all view points and collect all flags),also if you're out of bolts you simply pickpoket the same guys that you getting the knives from..
