Government (public schools) are an utter failure and a collosal waste of money. Why anyone would want to increase the amount of money thrown into this rat hole? Every study out there shows home schoolers and private schoolers educate more with less money. End government schools now. Allow citizens to take their tax money they to pay for government school and pay for far better private schools instead.

Vouchers and Charter schools are the way to go. McCain is right. We spend more money on education per child than any country on earth, and our schools resemble Hiroshima in 1945. Obama may agree, but he lacks courage to stand up to teacher's union. Obama's not his own man, just another LBJ great society liberal. And as typical, the only liberal solution is to throw more money at a problem. It will mean more jobs for the teachers, but nothing to the students.

How on earth can you just put a person who's been in the military into a teaching job. That is putting down teachers. I've had one of these unqualified teachers and I have to say it ruined me. I had problems I couldn't identify and found out too late. I've made up for it, but I could have been better off if I had a teacher who had training.

Damn McCain vouchers wont make public schools any better! Charter Schools cater to that 5% of Americans your fighting for! and giving coupons to the poor and middle class wont Change the outcome of our youth!
