@micahface20 , I was serious at it until he blew out the water the first time... Then I lost it into a fit of giggles. Very great instructable! Now I'll be able to keep my neighbors up all night longer with out pausing for breath! Brilliant!
I bought my didgeridoo yesterday and have to say that the sound making isn't that difficult (haven't played before, hehe) but this lesson about circular breathing looks so easy, but in practical it ins't (for me -.-). I feel with you "juntarful" lasting the sound about 15 second works but taking breath is like killing me xD.
Nevertheless, very good instructional vide mr iDIDJUK. I think in a few weeks it will work. Thumbs up and greetings from Hamburg, Germany.
Thanks for sharing this info, Within three days i picked up the technique, Very first time i picked up a didj i hit the drone, i was abo previously lol
This is going to take some practice and some new muscle control. I just can't get my lips to vibrate when I'm pushing out with my cheeks . Practice Practice Practice!
This is too amazing. It is interesting watching you do it but it really is harder than it looks for me. Its like juggling with plates while eating on them. I just purchased my first Didgeridoo so I guess with anything it will take practice. Thanks for the lesson!
Wauw - a useful and comprehensive instruction to circular breathing, finally!!
Thank you very much.
I have (a little) decreased lung capacity, because of a mould intoxification in my former appartment - do you think I could practice circular breathing like this, anyway?
This may sound crazy...but I've put a didgeridoo on my Christmas list. Being a horn player since 1985, I've never quite been told of this style of breathing instruction, but, I wish I'd been shown this form 20 years ago. Very well. I have a 50 min drive one way to work now, so I'll be working on this, just incase I get one for Christmas. Thank you for your instruction.
Excellent simple instructions now I have to practise this everyday driving to work whilst no one in the car that is 2 hours practise everyday yeyyy :)
I've never played one before, but have always had a small fascination with the Didgeridoo...and after seeing this I think I need to play one soon! Anyone up for a Didgeridoo jam sesh?
Hi! I have a didj, but it's not an expensive one (made from bamboo), is it possible to learn with it?.. because i just can't get that sound, when you have to make a sound with your cheeks, it seems like it's not "echoing" when i blow with my cheeks.. :(
Thank you so much, for those lessons! I saw so many guys trying to explain the circular breathing technique, but you've been the only one who wasexplaing that so well, that i could do it in just one week!!!!! ;-) Absolutely great lessons!!!!!!!!! Thank you ;-)
Somebody help me learn this, I've tried the water thing, and it works, but it's not the same with air in your mouth. When the water is in my mouth, I can push out the water and inhail through my nose, but i naturally breath through my mouth and cannot close the inhalation process when it's just air. I try and try, is there no other method of practicing this technique?
@UsagiTsunami Dude I cant even get this down! You must have some type of Gift or I just suck. Idk. I would learn to play more wind, brass etc instruments cuz your "Gift" will help
this site is great if you are learning to play, have a look at Dangerous Davo on Didge and see my 9 year son and I playing the didge, my son makes some great noise's while I am playing.
I bought a Didge from an Aboriginal last week. Nicely painted with Geckos and Dots. The bottom half still has bark and tree sap on it. Always wanted one, but you only even seen them in gift shops.
