No matter what you may think of the Shah, you cannot blame his wife for anything he did. He was in control, not she. She did not wield any power, but as any good spouse supported her husband and trusted in his decisions. No state leader is perfect, and while the Shah may have had his faults and made mistakes, he was overthrown by brutal religious fanatics, who have killed more innocent people than the Shah ever could.
