  • hello john i have looked through other training demos throughout your page and also after reading chucks book. i coach rugby league here in australia and have used many of your tourture routines.... they are absolutley great even tho my players dont often agree but every one else agrees i have the fittest sides i coach... well done mate

  • We do Pit at the park at our dojo. And I'll tell you, no matter how good of shape your in after running up a hill with 70 lb weights and then doing backwards lunges down the hill for 3 to 5 mins. Then piggy backing your friend up the hill then walking on your hands (wheel barrle) back down for 3 to 5 mins then sprinting up the hill and doing burpees at the top then lungeing forwards down the hill 3-5 mins then bunnie hopping up the hill and duck walking back down. and there is a lot more.

    im on my high school rugby team, i do have to do a mile run everyday and i dont get as tired as these guys are.

    and when we do the D ball mile throw thing, we have to RUN

    plus we also do that weight training shit everyday too!

    for ufc fighters, its not the best ive seen

  • This is where trainers screw up they have you run and throw stuff when you can do that on your own time we all know how to do stuff like that. All they do is wear people out then train them after they are wore out even bruce lee says thats bad it makes technique more sloppy in the end. ARe people just to lazy to exercise on there own? or does trainers like to to wear people out just to do it to make there training seem that much harder. But mr hackelman has a killer spin kick!!

  • hey john this is the guy who asked about the weight of the sledges.....couldn't find a 20 lbs sledge without spending 150 bucks but i duct taped a 10lbs ankle weight to my 10lbs 3min rounds are a killer pit workouts are the best ive seen i try to copy them in my backyard

  • mr hackleman you are a genius, i have been using some of your training techniques to prepare for some upcoming fights. i am a boxer and i wanted to know what is a good way to work on hand speed. besides shadow boxing and pad work of course, is there any unique technique you have your fighters use that helps with hand speed? thanks a lot for any help and keep up the good work you are great.

  • @peepingtom101 Train fast = Fight fast, Train slow = Fight slow. Jump rope, burpees, intervalls, kettlebells, shadowboxing, sparring, ladder drills, pad work etc. builds speed, power and endurance simultaneously. Btw you give an emotional impression.

  • @dagstidning No it's not that simple. If you want to bring some evidence to the table ill gladly make prove you wrong. What happens on the outside is not the same as what is going on the inside.

  • what is the weight of the sledge hammers? I use 10lbs for 2 mins hard and its a killer but are these heavier???

  • 16lbs for girls. 20lbs for guys.

  • both vary depending on the workout they are doing that day. Any where from 1/2 their BW to 2X.
