I've been through the code of both english and japanese versions of this game and can assure you his methods will NEVER work.
In fact, this one video was made to prove how WereGarurumon TRULY exists in the game, as real as the game can show it and not a secret unlocked by "random" methods.

This is difficult to explain, but, after a certain phase of game-making, you can no longer "erase code", just block its execution from normal means. You can find several cases like this in several PS1/N64 games :P

Don't worry though, unless you use cheat codes (and very specific ones, not just at randomly), your digimon will NEVER digivolve into WereGarurumon. There's no criteria, no conditions, absolutely no chances of it ever happening naturally.

@shinegreyruin Sadly, there's just no 3D model for WereGarurumon D: I do have a program that can read the "resource" data as you call it (images, text, etc), but the "slot" reserved for WereGarurumon's model is somehow replaced with Hero's model, and even so they're indeed not connected :/ WereGarurumon exists, but HEAVILY incompleted. We're lucky to have the name and the sprite data in the game D:
@shinegreyruin I used PSicture and TIMViewer, both allow you to explore through the game's files and see text models, skins, sprites, etc. I also used some others, i just can't remember the exact names of them...but they did similar functions anyhow. All you need to do is either the Digimon World CD or the .iso file.

Myotismon lost to Devimon...not too much fail considering Devimon can use lethal moves like Ice Statue. Now Etemon losing to Monochromon...THAT was fail.

@SonGOKUSSJ6 Yeah, if you force a "normal" digivolution to WereGarurumon, the game will freeze, as there's no "real" digimon to load, no looks, no animation, no real data except an almost-blank space in memory, so the game will basicly wait until it can load something that doesn't exist :/

WereGarurumon exists in the Japanese version as much as he does in the English version, which is...just like in this video. There's NO difference between the English and Japanese version when it comes to WereGarurumon; he's just as incomplete in both versions.
And i have the Japanese version and have checked it on my own several times, so everyone else who says otherwise is just dragging on a fake rumor.
It looks like maybe they had to rush the game to release before they could start working on WereGarurumon.

They did rush. There are all sorts of glitches in this game. It was also Bandai's (as far as i know)
first game made. Their programmers probably lacked skill and had to learn along the way. If Bandai took more time, they would have made an extraordinary game.
Bandai used another company to do the released of the NTSC version for NA, which makes me wonder if that is why it had so many glitches that the other region's version of this game were free of?
When I first heard the WereGarurumon causes the game to crash, i ddin't know this is what it meant by it. Why is it even in the game if it doesn't even have a model to use at all? It could just be a beta element that didn't have the code for it properly removed.
They either didn't properly remove it, or didn't even finish it and all, and i guess that's more likely. They added it's name, sprite, space in data, and everything else, but at the moment of adding the models, animations, etc, they didn't work on WereGarurumon anymore, and just left it there, completely ignored :(
@SorrowKun I just wonder how Bandai forgot about this. I'm surprised they didn't even fix the problem with the Greast Hits Rerelease for the game. I hope they fix it for the PSone Classics Download of the game.
I don't think it's a "problem" to be fixed, at least not on gameplay terms. Given how there's no slot left in the Digimon chart for it, no way to possibly digivolve to it (items or anything), and nothing in the whole game that'd hint it's appearence, it means they just stopped working on it, and never intended to have WereGarurumon in the final release D: It would still be cool if they added him though, but unlikely.
I think most games back then for the psx were just 're-labeled' releases. Not actually improved games. The GH version is no different from the original I'd imagine, but I'm willing to stand corrected.
Te first three digimon world games were all really good. I have beaten digimon world 1 and 2, but my digimon world 3 disc won't work anymore for some reason. It freezes when I try to save or load something.

The ?? is replaced by a hex number that correspond to the desired digimon. To get the full list, you just have to make a google search inputting the code i gave (D0134EE4 and so on...), and the first results will have the list. As further referrence, WereGarurumon's number is 3E, and Myotismon's is 42.

It's funny, I saw links to the PSX emulator-related sites of the digimon wiki page(the wikia version) and suddenly it has disappeared. I recently bought this game back on ebay(my original??? somewhere that I dont know)...it plays great, but I'd be curious to know of how to play it on my computer.
