@giniapjac a #10 is good for beginners while a #30 should be used by more experienced people. A #10 is usually used for the feet, face and potty path on a poodle. A #30 is considered a "surgical blade" and it is very easy to razor burn an animal with one. Few groomers I know will ever lay hands on this blade.
When do u use a #10 blade or #30 blade etc. ? I have a teacup & toy poodle I need to start grooming myself. I don't know the difference between these blades. Can u help? Thx!
@giginapjac a 10 blade is used to do clean face feet and tail on poodles, also inside the pads and sanitary. the 30 blade its self is really just used for show dogs and almost considered a surgical blade... but the 30 blade is also used under comb attachment.. which leaves the dogs hair long........ hope this helps i know it can be a little confusing at first.
i dont know what kind of clipper blades you are using to make that happened. it eliminates clipper lines. but i only go backwards on dogs that realy shouldnt be shaved, like golden retirevers, cavalier king charles spaniels and setting patterns on cockers etc . comes out so smoothly for me
or blades arent sharp enough? are your blades always sharpened? i know i need my #4F sharpened, i had problems going against the grain with that one recently. check ur blades
Is that little tube sucking up the clipped hair??

if u take the same clpper blade and clip against the grain, it cutes more hair than going with the grain
i.e #4 with the grain clips 1/2 inch but go against the grain and it clips like a #7F blade, which is 1/8 inch. BIG DIFFERENCE!

yeah but if u go against the grain you dog looks like a mowed lawn.. u see all the lines from the shaver!
