this song is genius. i love the metaphor, it's about splitting up with someone and agreeing that neither of you will sleep with anyone else, then you both go off and do, and when that happened to Mr. Thirwell, he compared it to Hitler and Stalin agreeing that neither of them would invade poland, shortly before ww2, and then they both did.

@SaintTakeshi I believe that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact declared that both sides would remain neutral in the event that a third party attacked either one. I believe that both sides decided to take Poland, although the Soviet Union was not as prepared as Germany and had to rush to keep up. The Pact wasn't broken until two years later when Germany invaded Russia. I think this changes the metaphor a little, especially since "Case White" refers to the German invasion plan of Poland.
