Halo has always been a very rare game. Most games focus on multiplayer and just scrape up a story as an after through. Halo has always been different. The story and single player experience has always been at the forefront of the game, and I love it because of that.
Focusing on sound just means that they want it to sound good and not cheesy, it doesn't mean that they are just focusing on matchmaking. If they were focused on the sounds of gun then that what they were focused on, plus they were also still working on CE anniversary at that time.

Honestly, I am really hoping that the focus on making a good, lengthy single player. If they're just going to focus on multiplayer than I might not even get Halo 4. I mean if I want a campaign that takes all of one hour to complete I would go buy MW3.

SPOILERS for people who haven't read the new halo primodium. ok so i found a clue to maybe reveal the secret to halo 4 and the shield world master chief seems to be in. in the book it says that the flood had some relation with precursors before the firing of the original halos and also that the forerunner were not meant to be the superior species but the humans. the flood was intended to get rid of all the foreruner. also that the librarian is till alive meaning more forerunner actually survived
the mode they was talking about was firefight. Im putting money on it. lol Their using reach for bungie sake. Halo 4 will have firefight. what they added could be more vehicles, better enemies, abilities maybe, scores taking, bonus rounds and no telling what. I expect them to improve heavily on this since it will be one of the things players will be on after the campaign. I dont expect anything else new. Only Campaign, Firefight, Theater, Forge, and Custom Games. ^_^ thats it. Improving them YES
My theory is that they'll do the same thing they did with the Halo Reach beta. They'll make a Halo 4 beta soon and the only way you'll access it is with a copy of Halo Anniversary.
@AdamX21198 That would be VERY hard from a programmers point of view to design something like that as easy as FORGE. I see it very improbable that they would add something like that except if they sell the game with at least 2 discs. I wouldn't look forward to it.
One thing I am hoping to see from H4 is a better forge, the halo reach forge was a massive improvement from the H3 forge but in H4 I want to be able to create the map of scratch like make the land and put islands where u want and stuff :)

The skull sounds like the foam finger in Dead Space 2. When you shoot it, Isaac says, "Pew pew!" and "Bang! Bang!". Maybe 343 just didn't want to seem unoriginal. :/ I would have loved it though, haha.

Very good point mate, although I hope they manage to finnd a balance between the two. The reach online was very very good but It could be improved quite a bitt, and then the reach campaign for me didnt really make the game stand out at all, so lets hope the campaign is strong and the story is epic!
@Unit370 Assuming I actually managed to play a single campaign 100 times, then yes I'd get bored of it. I'd get bored over an equivalent number of hours spent in multiplayer modes as well. The difference is that the story doesn't end when you've finished playing. A good story will have you analysing it, whether by yourself or with friends. In multiplayer, once you've finished playing, that's pretty much it.
to me halo has always been about being badass master chief and kicking the crap out of aliens and parasites. Thats probably why i didnt like reach. i really hope the story is awesome this time.

Focusing on multiplayer is ONLY SPECULATION people. All of it is speculation. Stop arguing about stupid shit. None of what he said was fact about what 343 is focusing on. It's going to be a great game. Bungie wouldn't give them the reigns if they didn't know what they were doing. And Reach mp is awesome. How can anyone say its gone downhill from halo3? The skull sounds like the foam finger in Dead Space 2. When you shoot it, Isaac says, "Pew pew!" and "Bang! Bang!". Maybe 343 just didn't want to seem unoriginal. :/ I would have loved it though, haha.

Guys I don't see why everyone has such high expectations you try making a game with millions of fans calling out different ideas, first of all whats wrong with armor abilities just take out jetpack, armor lock that's what I hate and replace with like flips or something ninja and to me that's perfect so stop sucking on reach about gay abilities and the replace br to me the br sucks I never use it, I just don't like 3 round bursts

Very good point mate, although I hope they manage to finnd a balance between the two. The reach online was very very good but It could be improved quite a bitt, and then the reach campaign for me didnt really make the game stand out at all, so lets hope the campaign is strong and the story is epic!

@Unit370 Assuming I actually managed to play a single campaign 100 times, then yes I'd get bored of it. I'd get bored over an equivalent number of hours spent in multiplayer modes as well. The difference is that the story doesn't end when you've finished playing. A good story will have you analysing it, whether by yourself or with friends. In multiplayer, once you've finished playing, that's pretty much it.

@gamenow44 I wouldn't be too concerned about 343 neglecting the story though. The terminals in Anniversary, the books Halo Primordium, Halo Cryptum, and Halo Glasslands, as well as everything else they've said, should tell us that if anything, they want to give the story, Halo, the Forerunners, the Chief and Cortana, more focus than it has been given in these past few years.

I herd that you can play as the 343 guilty spark like in forge world, it flies around but you have a certain time limit until it self-destructs because it knows you hacked into his system, then you return into spartan mode.. and that you can shoot a laser beam like the spartan laser through the eye while using him..
