'Het-Set' had a more drfined mid-range punch to my ears are sounded a bit more dynamic. Until recently I had the EMG 85/81ZW set in my explorer and I reckon these would've been a great replacement.

Went for Bareknukles in the end however :D

I like sticks comments, it doesn't really come across in the audio from da tube but i understand this would be the biggest dynamic change. as far as opinions go though i preferred the stock set. they sounded a bit more organic in the video. they seemed slightly too hot perhaps but comparatively the Het Set came across as a bit "contained" and less dynamic like all active emg sets. probably would need to play them to see if i actually could get along with them.

I like the hetfield pickups better, sound more like passives, but nothing beats a passive.

Yeah there's definitely a difference. The stock pickups seem to be harsher to me than the Hetfield pickups, but of course that's debatable
