if you have the time a pokemon you can obtain in celadon city is porygon (though it will take alot of time to get) I would highly recomend it as it helped me alot in this game.

my pokemon were under leveled so i challenged the celedon city gym and it took me half an hour yeah but my gyrados was a trooper taking out victrebell and jolteon was a trooper with vileplume but jolteon was a higher level than gyrados ivysaur had an easy win against tangela i had 6 pokemon and 2 fainted one i revived cuz it was my newest and weakest pokemon and mimien saw no action hahaha but it was an epic battle and im amazed that gyrados didnt faint during the battle and thats about it
