Avery's suspension is a different story though.

Are you crazy he tried to take him out illegaly and hit him in the head with an elbow which caused him to miss 2+ months. I mean Ruutu on Ottowa got 2 games for biting someone. It may be that he is not a dirty player, I don't know because I'm a sharks fan, but that was a dirty hit. I looked like Mottau went to hit him legally, but then saw that he could not, and went for any sort of hit, which in this case, was an elbow to the head. This was not an incidental hit. I do think that the part with the leg just happened, but the elbow to the head looked intentional to me.

that's true, nielsen wasn't concussed and there was a lot of bad luck involved (ie, the skate getting caught in a rut) but it did look like a headshot and per colin campbell, that's a suspension right there.

as an avid devils fan i will admit that is a dirty hit. ive always found mottau to be useless but there is no way that is more than 2 game suspension. if he was no wheres near the puck than yes its should be 6-10 game. but saying shit like ur happy brodeur got hurt is just classless. i would never say that im glad DP is hurt or that neilsen got hurt in this hit. when someone gets hurt its not something u laugh at or that u be glad that it happens, even if u hate them.
