  • Comment removed

  • Thanx for sharing the info.

  • try Carols daughter hair milk and the Macademia Nut silkening and gental hold gel/pomade...my new favorit("iused to use Softee gel activator worked really good for my waves when i had a 1.5.

  • I have straight hairs too, but my hair is longer, to my shoulders when its curly. Once your hair grows out they wont even be noticable.

  • you have pretty 4a hair,

    i have 4c/b hair -___-

    more c than b

  • hello my beautiful your video is very good and the way can you tell me the name of this small brush thanks you ;-D

  • IM NOT ALONE!!!!!!!! OHH MAA GOSHH i was sooo shocked to see straight strands after i took my braided extensions out and did my big chop.

  • Finally found someone with the straight hairs too. Nice to know I'm not the only one.

  • where can you buy it at because sally's no longer carries it ...

  • girl trime your hair!

  • Wow!!! Your hair looks so Soft And I LOVE Your Curl Pattern!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very pretty just looks super sticky and gooey

  • what hair type are u?

  • does this work on longer hair? I realize you did this video 8 months or so ago. thanks for the video

  • I love Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker 14-in-1!! It really helps define my curls and moisturize them as well. I find that if I also pair this with my ECO Styler Olive Oil gel I get STUPID curl definition! Your hair looks great!!

  • People still use this shit?!? I'm shocked.

  • YOUR HAIR LOOKS GREAT.

  • Your hair looks baby doll soft.

  • hi lady

  • OMG I have those stupid straight hairs too! Definitely not as much as you do but I'm so confused as to wtf they are since they aren't left over relaxer! I'm glad I'm not alone.

  • When my hair was shorter, I also had this problem. What I started doing was putting gel on the palms of my hands and rubbing my hands in a circular motion all around my head and this kinda helped diguise the straight hairs. I did this until my hair got longer. I have finer, wavier hair from my hairline back to the crown and kinkier, coiler hair to my nape, then back to wavy. Hope this works.

  • I loved this product, great for me when I did a wash and go. A little goes along way.

  • Great job! No need to cut the straight hairs...your curly hairs are most likely the same length...love their dry look gel!

  • mine does that in the front haha once i get to a certain length it gets into loose waves and more wavy when wet but when its dry the ends are straight sometimes lol

  • Try trimming your ends so they're all one length.

  • pat the straight ends in or cut them

  • Omg! I have the same hairs! It's annoying. Lol.

  • hi soo love ur hair.wow....i am an african woman living in Romania and im trying to grow my natural hair, would like to try that product but cant find it here.pfff ...is it only an american product?

Hope you can help !!! thanks God blessed

  • Comb coils are a good style if you have straight hairs, it really helps hide them because it curls them.

  • I have straight hairs too. Two years natural perm all gone but still got straight hairs XDDD

  • im a guy, does this work on really short hair?

  • I have that problem to

  • You know those "straight hairs" are probably still relaxed hairs or from heat damage.

  • @GreenyieTyD27 : Hi! It stands for Teenie Weenie Afro!

  • Comment removed

  • ooooooooooooo i cant wait to try this! straight hairs an all the curl definition looks amaazziingngg

  • I wouldn't let a couple of straight hairs deprive me of all those curls. It looks Fabulous!

  • ok i just did my bc and when i do my hair it tends to dry out quick and then look a mess. So is this a process that has to be done everyday? How often do u cowash and dc your hair?

  • YOUR HAIR IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • like jewels

  • I love it! What type hair do you have. That information will help me determine how my hair may come out if I use it. I have 4b/4c (one of them) You look like a 4a. And your hair looks smoother and not as kinky and dry like mine. Do you know anyone who has longer hair (like shoulder length) and uses it successfully?

  • thanx

  • how does it smell?

  • dont you just hate those straight hairs.i have them too.lol

  • omg! I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!! I NEED TAHT GEL! lololol

  • I have that same problem with the straight hairs

  • o m g i looooovee it, i feel like i have tried everything, i still have a twa but im def going to try this, looks like a very effective method

  • I think you hair looks great. I had a problem with straight ends as well, but once I started trimming them every 3-4 months, the problem has been eliminated :)

  • I agree with @daiquirialwayscool ...I do mines every two weeks if needed and it does great with the curls, they pop more....

  • You're supposed to clip the straight hairs every so often those are damaged hairs..

  • Very pretty! I am going to try your method.

  • great hair.....

  • i love your hair- i am caucasian and i have four textures of hair. straight, wavy , curly and what i call "warbbely". i use a conditioner when my hair is soaking wet and let it air dry and it goes with the curls(a one inch curl- not very curly) and sometimes the straight hairs actully end up right thru the middle of the roll. i love your hair. i wish i had black hair

  • Oh my goodness beautuful curls!! I'm using wave nouveax finishing lotion by softsheen carson.. I rub it in thing play with the curls until i get the style that I want...but I really like your hair! Also you can take the straight hairs and train them to curl by twisting them with your fingers and tucking them in

  • Oh my goodness beautuful curls!! I'm using wave nouveax finishing lotion by softsheen carson.. I rub it in thing play with the curls until i get the style that I want...but I really like your hair!

  • i use the hawiian silky miracle worker and and i was wondering does it have the same effect. i just cut my hair 4 days ago and im tryna find a good activator.

  • I LOVE that stuff!!!!!

  • Oh wow I have 4a 3c hair and wondered how come I have some strands of hair that is pin straight. At least now I know I'm not the only one. Thanks for sharing!

  • love the coils but question where did you get the comb from

  • I have the same problem the top is more loose some spots even waves I dunno what's going on with my hair I tried this gel it made my hair hard for some reason.

  • I have a part of my hair in the front that doesn't curl. What does that mean? I just bc so it's not heat damage. Love the tutorial.

  • omg i have the same thing with those straight hairs i just dont understand them, i cut them and then more grow just like it lol

  • I am a follower of Hawaiian silky gel activator also...I LOVE this stuff. However never ever use to much of it. Because your hair will be sticky!!! I purchase the large 32 oz jug. Really I found it at a beauty supply store. Also the best thing you can use to slick your hair back in pony tail.

  • Have you tried Eco styler gel? If so, how would you compare it to the hawaiian silky gel activator? I use Eco right now, and it defines my curls nicely, I've got a TWA.

  • @thatsright79:::Yes I have tried the ecostyler and I prefer the hawaiian silky activator over it because it truly keeps ur hair Moist and soft, as opposed to the ecostyler which just defines. the hawaiian silky does take some time to dry though. I now use the hawaiian silky for my two strand twists. I hope that helps :)

  • Ugh, I am a 4a and I have lots of straight hairs too. Your hair looks great!

  • @ubiquitousfacts:::pahahaha..Then u know the frustration at times. and thank you!!

  • @Toliahli I have the exact same thing haha. I use a regular conditioner as leave-in…and twirl my fingers and I get such a nice definition (every curl is poppin)…I also just brush the straight pieces back with my hands haha

  • I know this is a random question but what is the name of that comb?

  • @SuperKillaCam88:::NOT random at all! Lol. But I dunno the name at all...sorry. I did buy it from sally's though. looks like a comb and brush in one to me, or that's how it works at least.

    Thanks for watching :)

  • @SuperKillaCam88 It's called a teasing comb. =)

  • so your natural hair is a real loose texture slo, finally i found someone who has a hair type like i do.

  • @mixedchick8178::: Some times I think It's a real tight texture, until I wash it. lol

and I'm always glad to come in contact with someone of the same hair texture as mine. its great for tips and adivce. I'm glad u watched :)

  • I have the EXACT same hair style as you!!! The str8 hairs kill me sometimes!!!! I feel like I have 4 different grades of hair in my head

  • @bigboi2007:::hahah, then u know exactly what I deal with. and I think I have 3 different grades at times. Thanks for watching!!

  • In what stores can I find that gel? How does it make the hair feel when it drys? is it soft or a little crunchy?

  • @C7N2D8:::I found it at my local beauty supply, and its also online too. and my hair felt SOOO moisturized and Super SOFT after it tried. I now use it for my two strand twists.

  • Thanks for this video...My stylist said to clip them its just dead hair from the Big Chop...hope that helps

  • @ehartmiller:::your welcome! and I not these...they actually grow out straight. I appreciate them now, that my hair is longer.. Thanks for watching :)

  • i have those straight hairs too

  • @sheamoisturediva:::so glad that I'm not alone with those :)

  • that's either split ends or heat damage

  • @danygrl08:::Not these, I've had them ever since my BC. lol

They came in that way, and have never curled

  • Ur hair is so pretty my goodness. I love this

  • @comfortblankit40:::awwww, Thank you SOO much :D

  • I just bought that comb/brush and I love it for my twa!!

  • @Rochelle1212:::That is awesome! I wished I had found that brush waaay earlier. its a good help. Glad u found it :)

  • i have a question um...do u know if like if i have a perm in ma head and then i let it grow out because i want to go natrual but then i want it to be curly is their a way i could do that??

  • @dancealotdiva123 ... How has the transition from relaxed hair to natural hair been for you so far? I did a big chop but would be curious to see how well one can transition without cutting the hair... I imagine either way its an adjustment finding the right products and styles while you wait to get to where you wanna be... But isn't that like all things in life? LOL! Keep us posted... its a wonderful journey.

  • @dancealotdiva123:::forgive my delay...I have done a transition as well, several years ago. and yes, you can wear it curly as well. You just have to find styles that will provide a consistent curl for both of your hair textures.

I did a lot of braidouts and twistouts (with rollers on the ends, or twisted ends) to curl the straight end. just keep in mind, that as time goes on and you get more new growth...it will be much stronger than ur remaining permed ends. but u can snip them as you grow :)

  • @litebright210:::: a 4b...with a lil bit of 4a in the top area.

  • You and 20PNC are going have me hunting for this hawaiin silky gel!! BTW,have you tried twriling the straight hair around your finger into a coil?

  • @chariam0r:::LOL...I hope u find it in ur area. and I tried twirling them, but they don't stay. only if they are with a bunch of other curly hair. lol

  • Aww, so cute! i miss my twa! I understand your dilema, I Had/Have that same issue, only it's a little less obvious now that my hair is longer! your a doll!!

  • @chariam0r:::aww geez..thank you so much! now that my hair is longer, they arent as obvious anymore either yay. thanks again for watching :)

  • I LIKE IT, I AM GOING TO TRY IT. IF MY STRAIGH HAIRS DON'T CURL I WILL SNIP,SNIP:). ENJOY YOUR HAIR

  • @mingligoode12:::Thank you...I hope it works out well for you...lol. ur enhoy ur hair as well too

  • Did you find that there was white residue after applying the product?

  • @caribbeanspice08:::Nope, none at all.

  • cut those stray hair and move on.

  • @5001Isaac:::I thought of it, but didn't want to have short hairs when I straightened it...now Im glad I didn't.

    Thanks for watching

  • Pretty curls!

  • @mischerokee13:::Thank you! :)

  • Where did u get that comb?

  • @KokoGigglesLots:::from Sally's beauty Supply. In a combo with other combs.

  • Were can I find this product?

  • @Tennissgirl:::try your local beauty supply...and if not, I believe you can find it online as well.

  • just cut the straight hairs, your curls are very nice.

  • @sabrinasnowden:::Thank you and I thought about cutting them. But, If I do...then I will have SHORT hairs when I decide to straighten it. ha! Thanks for watching Sabrina :)

  • I though I was the only one with the straight hair problems. I have a 2c, 3a and then some straight hair. It hard to two strand my hair because it comes right out.

  • @MzsChocolateDimples:::nope you are not alone. and maybe you could try braid outs instead. they tend to work better for straighter hairs.

  • omg i have the same straight hairs! and it makes my hair look all frizzy lol. nice to know im not alone

  • @kingsmith1991:::yessir...those straight hairs can hamper any curly wet do, you think will come out flawless. ha. and no, ur are SOO not alone :)

  • OMG I thought I was the ONLY person who had straight hairs that grown out naturally lol It's so annoying sometimes. But it's all good.

  • @MrSexxxy20:::ha, I used to think I was the ONLY person too! lol

    I'm glad u watched :)

  • @MoccaBunney:::No not at all!! my hair felt VERY moist, and almost gummy before it dried. I think you will like the after feel a lot :)

  • This is so pretty! I recently did the BC.....1 month natural lol For the Hawaiian Silky I just bought the clear kind and I hope it works just as good as the peach. How long have you been natural?

  • @MsOceana91:::Thank you very much :)

and I was natural 9 months in this video

  • I love this look and thank you so much for the info. on 20pearlsncurls sight as well .

  • @wilfredoelcantante:::your welcome! thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy her channel as well :)

  • Thanks for the demo and turning me on to 20pearlsNcurls. I tried this method today. I used the Eco Gel with Argan oil. At first I didn't like the result but as it dried, I fell in love. So, thanks again.

  • @KindylsMom:::Your soo welcome, and her vids are awesome :)

Also, I am glad that you had a great result with the argan oil, and Im sure you will like the hawaiian silky curl activator gel too!

  • @Toliahli i have 3c hair with slight 4a, u might need a trim. i had straight hairs just like you, i went to a natural hair salon for a trim and those straight hairs were neva to be seen aqain lol. i'm 17, btw hair came out so nice ;)

  • Ahhhh....I have/had the same issue with the straight hair, buying ehrn I used Tressemme's no frizz cream and got a trim, you couldn't tell they were there, plus it's great under gel products...now if I could only find some more! Great video!

  • @naturallysweet87:::Wow, I may have to try and find that product for sure. thanks for watching and liking the video.

  • I have straight hairs too that grow out of my head, just like yours!! I thought I was the only one. I have learned to embrace it, what else can you do? My twists and twist outs are horrendous, so I am forced to do WnG. I love them though, straight hairs and all.

  • @MsJaybee01:::do you add enough product to your hair, for your twists out to be defined? and is your hair completely dry when you take them down. I still have to get the whole WnG thing down packed as well. Thanks for watching!

  • I have straight hairs too that grow out of my head, just like yours!! I thought I was the only one. I have learned to embrace it, what else can you do?

  • @MsJaybee01:::No you are NOT alone, and your right about learning to embrace it :) thank you for watching

  • super cute. maybe a sort of finisher would "tame" down the frizz (straight hairs?) i have quite a few too, and often use Curls In A Bottle by Curl Junkie. your curls are so cute, i want to try that Hawaiian Silky Gel

  • @louloumatou:::Thank you very much, and I doubt it. but I love em just the same. and I hope you have a good turn out with this gel as well :)

  • @Toliahli ahh then, you just have to embrace the frizz, i don't mind mine too much, but it doesn't appear to be as bad as when i had a twa, i was just looking at some old piccies and your hair reminds me of mine back then, now it's more easily tamed, cos it's long enough to "lie down" :)

  • Ur curls were poppin with the HS gel....

  • @iunique81:::Yes they were! I was surprised at how well it worked. Thanks for watching

  • Cute hair ladi ! good video :•}

  • @TheLovleyNatural2011:::Thank you. yay!

  • i feel you with the straight hairs...i look like a mix between a sheeps behind and a porcupine :-/ i'm tempted to cut mine too...lol

  • @leolion704:::BAHAHAHAHA... "a sheeps behind, and a porcupine" very well said. don't cut em though!

  • u did a great job it looks good, whats the name of the brush?

  • @KidneyGirl91:::Thank you :) and I'm not sure of the name, just a generic brush I purchased from Sally's.

  • I have those straight hairs on the ends too! lol, so annoying sometimes, but I love them

  • @afrolatinx33:::I love mine too, and they aid me in knowing how long my hair really is! lol

  • Very beautiful and well done tutorial! I always enjoy your tutorials as they are direct to the point without frills and unneccesary info and the results are alway amazing and on point, guess what, I am about to go buy that brush and the gel:-) Don't worry about the straight hairs, they will get with the program soon enough. Thanks for sharing

  • @maasaifem09:::Thank you! and thank you very much for the encouraging words, because that has been one of my goals in video making...to be to the point, and not an overload for the viewers and subbies :)

your welcome and thanks for watching

  • Very pretty! I have the same issues w/the straight hairs so I know what u mean. But honestly it doesn't look bad as u may think... Good luck & I hope u find a remedy & share w/us frizzy/staighy/curly/kinky girls, lol!

  • @Lisashay5::: Thank You very much, and I guess they don't look SOO bad, but I just thought it would be better or more clean and uniform like other people. I Thank you for watching as well!

  • Beautiful curls girlie, I have the same issue with the straight pieces. I am hoping that length will help as my grows. Do anyone have a solution for this? If I wash and go the curls will clump together better however; those scraggly ends are forever present. Nice hair you work so hard on your hair.

  • @brokennotfixed:::Thank you :) and I know just what you mean about the attempted wash and go's, with the ever present scraggly ends. lol

I'm glad that you appreciate the work that I put into my hair. thanks so much for watching!

  • i see what u mean with the straight ends, make you want to cut it, lol, but you know its all natural, and you have two different textures, lol. but is pretty, and once dry, it should blend in

  • @UniquelySheree88:::Thanks Sheree, I thought about cutting them. But then, when I decide to straighten it, they would be sticking up. lol

  • so cuteeeeee...ah

  • @UniquelySheree88::: Thank you!!

  • I don't think it looked bad...but it took me a while to not try to define my curls so I love my hair the way it is!!!

  • @mrsbk08:::Thank you, and I understand that one! lol

  • missed your videos! hehe its pretty! dnt worry about those straight ends!

  • @dauphmonr:::awwww, I feel so loved to be missed. Now I will post the other vids I have 2day and 2morrow as well. and your right, I won't worry about them. Thank you for watching!

  • I love hawaiin silky 14 N 1 But I never seen the one in the jar like the one you are using. It looks cute I wonder whats great for frizz?

  • @naturalNurgee::: I keep hearing things about the 14-n-1, so I may have to give that one a try too. Thank you, and oil with some gel usually eliminates the frizz. My hair wasn't even frizzy, just looked that way from the long hairs :(

I do give this product 2 thumbs up

  • try it with Eco Styler gel. I want to try the Hawaiian Silky too, due to her..LOL I have straight hair in spots too! I thought I was the only one hahahaha.. glad to know that I'm not I can exhale..LOL is the Hawaiian Silky Gel is it oily type of gel, I'd like to find one that's not drying that will leave your hair feeling crunchy as well as to put the gel on and go.

  • @trecey920:::I only like the Eco styler when Im slickin my hair back. but my hair will do the same with any gel.

and isn't 20pearlsncurls great with the wash and go's?! lol

This gel leaves the hair VERY Moist, and not crunchy at all. And I assume because it's an "activator" gel. mostly used for Jerri curls or something similar. and it has glycerin it in! which helped a lot. My hair stayed soft the whole time. Just don't use too much or it will feel gummy. I think you'll like it

  • @Toliahli ok @ EcoStyler using. yes she is. she's real good. Ok thx so much for getting back with me about the Hawaiian Silky..I should've knew *kick in the head* duh it is a gheri curl Gel. I never used it even when I had the curl I'm going to get some. I have the Hawaiian Silky 15 in 1 I love that stuff.

  • @trecey920:::LOL @ *kick in the head* ha. lemme know how it works out for you please :)

  • @Toliahli ok, I will. I will do a video using it. That's what my plans are. Been having problems with video editing, cameras etc

  • realllly nice curls, is that gel shippable?

  • @xZakiro:::thank you :) and yes it should be!

  • Your curls are really pretty...i love the look. my frizzies happen too with certain products.

  • @chocolatechild72:::Thank you very much! and frizzies can be cool with some looks, but not this one for me :( ha

  • Why don't you just cut those straight hairs if they bother you so much? Just cut them to the length of your afro so they don't stick out.
