Such small pocket subs have limited capability and can't compete with today modern naval destroyers and frigates. ASW and modern up to date acoustic databases will have by now logged their signatures. They are basically what the Japanese had during the second WW as a suicide weapon. They are cute but will never deliver a fatal blow.
How can ASW have this sub on their acoustic database? This was designed, and built entirely in Iran, so there is no point of reference. Second of all, lethality is given by the weapon systems, not because the sub is small.
What do U think the American fleet is doing in that area? fishing for clams? They are fingerprinting sound samples, please inform yourself on acoustical fingerprinting and comparative data mining. Whenever the Iranians move, a flotilla of navy and planes shadow them... They mine data.
And do you think that acoustical "fingerprinting" is going to make attack subs obsolete overnight? In that case, then all countries should suspend the manufacturing, and operations of subs right away, and instead rely on MUCH MORE visible, and vulnerable surface ships instead! Why do you think the US Navy itself call the Kilo class of subs, which Iran operates at least 3, the "Black Hole"? It can approach enemy craft at will, without detection; so there goes your acoustical crap out the window.
Ah I see... You are an expert in acoustical fingerprinting.... hmmmm...
Buddy that train has left the station long ago... there was a time maybe a year or so where the kilo was hard to detect... But as anything it had its achilles heel. I suppose that you think that ever since its inception the USA have been sleeping... get real. and grow up... while ur at it do some serious technical reading...
