my fav plane was a cessna 172, the boys landed it in a gravel runway that had been half graded... groundlooped total loss. sigh it was such a pretty blue too... the other one the boys clipped a tree with... gear damage prop wrecked no starboard wing...lol ... so these days nobody gets the keys. lol

The landing looked great - yeah, it wasn't the smoothest, but it was right on the centerline and was certainly safe. Only thing I'd suggest (and has already been suggested) is beginning the takeoff roll with full aileron into the wind. Other than that, well done!

Shouldn't the take off roll start with full aileron into the wind, slowlly bringing it off as speed builds? And the landing to include a little slip type attitude, maybe less flaps than normal?

For a Crosswind takeoff and landing that is correct. You copy that out of a book? The crosswind wasn't too bad that day but if you are trying to correct me, yes you are right partly. I did not use full flaps, hardly ever do. As stated in the description, the landing wasn't one of my greatest.

No book, just remembering training from 1980. My instructor taught me to do it in any crosswind. Since you didn't enter a strong crab, I figured the wind was light. The T.O. & Landing looked OK, I liked the camera angle, Just expecting to see some aileron. Happy flying to You!
